I have not played any games much minus a few single players in a few years and although I don't plan on VR gaming anytime in near future I still wanted to just reach out and say hello to my former SWTOR guild mates

Regards,

Lan'obi Loomis

Even if you're past the point of no return, you give them hell before they win...

"If we have to give these bastards our lives, WE GIVE THEM HELL BEFORE WE DO!"

Manic, thanks for this.  I needed it today.  I joined a Hutball game and we were down 0-5 and the other team was camped.. on our goal line with the ball for over 5 minutes.  I repeatedly threw myself into the fray (and died a lot) for remaining time.

I kept thinking.. "If I'm going to lose, I'm going to give them hell before I do.."  Classic Mifune moment.

I'm not sure I proved anything out there other than I was the most stubborn player on the field but it sure was fun.

You proved you were FA.  Me, Lan'obi (Trushott) and Longboard really had a similar couple of trials.

The first warzone was a Voidstar.  We were defending first, and unfortunately the enemy managed to get a breakaway going, getting to the final set of doors before the reactor core with 4 minutes to spare.  But we didn't pack it in or just farm for kills, we kept to the doors , rushing back and forth as needed like madmen.  And wouldn't you know it, we held those doors right until the end. The Sith never broke through.  Then on our attack, we got a break away of our own, and ended up getting through and winning the match.

Then, we had an Alderaan where we capped west, but the Sith capped East and center.  They did a good job of defending for five minutes, until they had a huge lead on us.  Then, when a pugger managed to ninja east out from under them, we took advantage of their distraction to take center.  We ended up three capping them for the rest of the match.
Win or lose, not giving up is definitely the FA way.

that alderaan match may have been the best come form behind mircle win of tactics greater than gear ive seen .... they were all better geared than us but we kept them in small groups and singles the whole match and snagged it out from under them at the last minute ... i wish i had a FRAPS of that would have been great

at one point it was 400 something to 200 something

and if i remember right it was like 250 to 105 when we three capped :)

IT AINT OVER TIL ITS OVER :)

I bid you farewell sir.

My opinion on the matter is that not everyone is max level yet and you are leaving somewhat prematurely. When we're all 50 and there's 30+online (like there always is) we'll all be pvping more I'm sure. World bosses too etc.

Just not enough people in guild at level 50 yet.

I am fairly new to FA ... just started with the release of SWTOR but I wholeheartedly agree with the above.  I believe you have acted extremely prematurely in your decision.

Many people are going as fast as they can to level 50 to be able to participate in world PvP and join you when its going on... but since the release of the game I have pretty much been parked in PvP channel and have attained level 46 and level 44 Valor in PvP and have had great fun with a lot of new people and am enjoying myself tremendously ... I am just trying to wrap my head around why you left over no pvp when many of us have PvPed together day in and day out for hours in the PvP channel and you rarely particpated :(

as far as world PvP its a brand new game and people are leveling and learning as fast as they can to get to what you envision on the PvP side of things ... i just think you should reconsider your decision becuase im am truely stumped as to your reason of no pvp when so many of us have been in the PvP room gaining valor non stop learning the mechanics of pvp in this game together as a team

anywoo wish you the best if you dont change your mind

regards

Good idea but what if you don't have a ship yet?

Uh, play the game for more than five hours =P

I mean, you can do that anywhere, you just may get dirty looks or reported for being a bot or something. I know there's some unused rooms in the Senate building on Coruscant.

Today I'm at work all day, so rather than run in circles for 10 hours, I'm going to try to remote desktop in and start the queue before I get home. Wish me luck!

how did the remote log in go?

Fuck the UI.  Seriously.  In the butt and ear.

LOL

well I own the PS 3 version and the PC version

I can say for a fact IMHO ( is that an oxymoron heh ) that i think the DEVS designed this game on XBOX ... the ps3 is have loads of memory crashing problems right now i think they just half ported it with little testing to PS3 or PC

on the PC the controls are clunky and not fun I believe they ported that over without much thinking too ... i think the testing they even did on PC was with a xbox controller :P

log story short ... I am no lnger frustrated with this game becuase i bought the xbox controler for PC hooked my PC up to tv and bam looks amazing and the xbox controller is very intuitive after about 5 hours or so of getting used to it

you really need to be about 10 hours in the game on one character to really truly appreciate how awesomesauce this game is ... its really really good

maybe best single player RPG ever ... it almost really doesnt ever end with the random quest generation system they have in and a lot of the NPC AI is some of best ive ever seen

dont cheat with the ~ button and i really think you could play this game for years at least the PC verson when the modders start doing their thing

you can buy houses / get married with real in game benefits heh/ go to jail
and you could literally play the game for hundreds of hours i think without ever scratching the main questline much at all but youll prolly want to finish it before some of the new huge campaigns come out by really great mod makers... there is some other really really cool things you can do in game but im not going to spoil them by posting :P

COME to think of it it may be the closest thing to a single player MMO thats ever changing youll find ... its a great mixture of sandbox and quests not to mention the random quest generator is pretty cool
