Once Alienware was bought by Dell, I personally left the brand.

I have a monster of a rig from OriginPC, who are a great bunch of guys and are some of the Original minds behind Alienware. There based out of Miami and their workshop is an interesting place. I was invited for a tour last year and it was just a fantastic experience, the heat on the other hand was just unpleasant.

It's a shame to own such an insane piece of machinery and we're not even really involved with a game currently.

It's waiting for the second coming.

Furious since 2006.

Pre-order the DK2 and you'll quickly have an appreciation for your machine and may even feel the need to upgrade further. Also, there's 8 or so of us playing Rust very regularly.

I have a Rift but I've seriously considered the DK2 actually.

I tried Rust and it's just not my cup of tea. DayZ infected me way before Rust was even around.

I make my living playing games these days, but I'm eagerly waiting for when the Rift goes consumer and gets even more wind in it's sails game/faction wise.

i just bought an x51. I hope it is good. I know Subb had his issues with Alienware - but my m11x did me very well indeed.
My M11x was also great.  Unfortunately, after several years of great service, the fan died.  It's currently in pieces while I decide what to do with it.

I went ahead and bought myself a 2013 Razer Blade.  The 2014s are out now but I really don't care for the 4K touch-screen, and the GPU upgrade wasn't worth the extra $700 I saved by buying last year's model.  Been using it for a few weeks now and I have no complaints.  It handles everything I'm currently playing at a constant 60+ FPS without batting an eye.

Looked at the razer blade but wanted a desktop. Origin looked very good too and I know their link to alienware. Just could not budge from an alienware really.

Think I will build a gaming desktop for my next machine. My M11x r2 is still functioning, but doesn't play new games at all. Plus it heats up like a mudda-trukka.

This is how I feel after my thermodynamics exam.

I met a materials engineer last year at an academic talk who was a big proponent of this and his research is in coming up with more cost effective solar panels (either through new laminate layers/types and/or the manufacturing process). It's actually a really elegant solution to current problems as well as those 50-100 years out.

Yeah to be honest, I thought there was no way in hell they'd ever make it through the bureaucracy/establishment (grand ideas require agile government), so I brushed it off at the time. Since I saw people posting it on Facebook, I thought about it some more and decided to be a little less cynical this time.

You can read more about the project here --> http://www.solarroadways.com/intro.shtml

They've also hit nearly 140% of their goal! I'm really excited to see these folks take off!
