This is kind of a public service announcement, though I'm sure many of you are aware of how data aggregation and companies maintaining electronic database for legal and public-records related information works. Just the same, you might find it worthwhile. This for those in the US, though I'm sure the UK and other countries have their own data aggregate companies.

I had an interesting chat with my car insurance company today. I won't go into details, but suffice to say, there are things underwriters have on their records via ChoicePoint that don't show up on my state records.

So I got to thinking, if ChoicePoint has all this data about me that I don't even remember, can I get access to it so I can verify it and know what everyone else does? Turns out their parent company, LexisNexis, allows you to do just that for free once a year. I'm going to go ahead and request my full disclosure report so I know what insurers, creditors, companies, employers, landlords, etc. see about me.

If you're interested in doing the same, here is the link to the webpage that lets you do so:

If all the world's problems were solved today, what would you have left to do tomorrow?

Or you can ask me... SOP for my investigators in background checks.

Go ahead, make my day.

I can attest that Broin's turnaround time is extremely fast.

Just saw this thread was just curious Broin what do you for a living if you don't mind me asking? I work for company that is a government contractor that handles fingerprinting and background checks kinda like LexisNexis but on a larger scale.

If Clint Eastwood and Jack Bauer crapped out a kid, you'd have Broin.  Now, what sort of organization could use a person like that?  Hmmm?

Whenever Broin goes away for work, we keep a close eye on the news. You can track his movement by noting where any foreign leaders were murdered in the time that Broin was gone.

Those donuts don't sell themselves!  They need a man, and that man is Broin.

I'm actually really surprised Circle-K is still around.  I think the last time I saw one I was about 7 years old.

And their website seems to be stuck in 1993:

They actually went in and tried to close down Circle-K a while back.   I hear Broin put an end to that...   and them.
