I really think that a customizable clan constuct is a great idea, a home away from home(here).  a place for sparring, and have weapon training(not that we'll need it) ,but it'd be cool.

I dont think we will get it to spar. It sounds more like 'areas' that you control, free for others to enter (though i expect there to be certain limitations) and attack, while the faction which runs it defends the construct..

So they will not be like in the movies..

I dont think we will be able to see damage to scenery during fights in MxO, since the footage we have now, shows a couple of 'bumps' with walls and no damage. Though this could be added in later development, we have to remember that this is an mmorpg.. :)

I cant wait...

It looks more like a fighting game than an MMO, not like the normal Combat Que like in SWG, but more of Mortal Comabt or Tekken, which is alot cooler.

The audio interview with Monolith CEO Jason Hall states that it not a twitch based game like mortal kombat or tekken for instance.

If you read some of the articles you will learn that you basically queue up which "moves" or actions you want to do in combat and they start to resolve themselves.  They also designed it so that in the midst of combat you have the ability to change some things but they said you can be as involved or uninvolved as you want to be during combat.
