Anybody here actually been to an old-timey grindhouse theater? Pretty fun stuff. Especially when going for a midnight showing of Johnny Mnemonic.

I'm skeptical about this, though. I've heard that it's not as good as the trailers make it out to be. Is it worth the three hours?

Yeah it's worth the three hours if you go to just have a good time. It's not a movie to be all critical of and compare to real life.

It's something different, different style, gets away from the typical "film school" rules of shooting film and whatnot. It might not be for everyone but if you like other Tarantino and Rodriguez films you'll most likely enjoy Grindhouse.
