News and Announcements / Re: Minecraft Releases for the Oculus Rift!
« on: August 20, 2016, 01:22:07 pm »
I'm getting burnt out on No Man's Sky  :(. I was really enjoying it until I hit the point of almost everything becoming repetitive. I never find new recipes, the creatures are all looking the same, etc.. Throw all that on top of how different the game is from what it was supposed to be, and I think I will be quiting it for the foreseeable future.

That was one of the biggest fears about No Man's Sky. I am glad I didn't purchase it.

Is it like rust?

Lithium is not allowed to play, he will have nightmares of pixelated blocks and shitty textures.

We have been messing around with VR a lot lately.

I believe there are some members that still mess around with Swtor, I know I've jumped in from time to time.

We also have a new chat program called Discord.

I wear glasses but I don't use them in the rift, for some odd reason I don't need them.

I think I did add you to my friends list in sc,  but it always shows you offline

I haven't been home in two weeks, I get home on June 9th.

Like T said, most will be playing SC with or without VR support. With that said, Chris Roberts said in January that CIG priority for VR was pushed up significantly for this year.

Having TFA presence in SC would be nice considering the game will be focusing on a lot of multiplayer functions along with massive corporations/guilds.

Saint, add me to your friends list in SC.

I've played around with VA while playing SC, it works great.

Fire Strike - 19,448

2 - GTX 980
i7 6700k 4.0ghz
16gb ram
Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha MB
2 - 500 GB SSD

I am currently out performing the Ti and Titan cards with 2 GTX 980's, I am 2,380 points behind 1 GTX 1080.

I was waiting to see when the actual release date was going to be for the new cards.

I upgraded everything but the 2 GTX 980's I currently have. 1 1080 should out perform 2 980 based on what I've seen so far.

I guess I still have some time to sell off the 2 980's I have.

VR Gaming / Oculus - Best Buy May 7th and others.
« on: May 02, 2016, 01:19:40 pm »
"A small number of Rifts will be available for purchase at select Best Buy stores starting May 7 and online from Microsoft and Amazon, starting May 6 at 9 a.m. PST," Oculus' blog post states. "Quantities will be extremely limited while we catch up on Rift pre-orders."

You can, in fact, perhaps wait in line, buy the hardware at retail, and then cancel your pre-order. Oculus is planning on some customers doing exactly that.

"We know that many pre-order customers are still waiting for their Rifts, so we're offering those customers a chance to purchase Rift from retail instead — while keeping their pre-order benefits, like the EVE: Valkyrie Founder’s Pack and priority status for Touch pre-orders," the company explains. "If you’re interested, simply go to your order status and let us know you’ve purchased a Rift at retail, and we’ll cancel your pre-order. Your EVE: Valkyrie entitlement will appear in your order history."

That's BS!

Looks like there might be a chance for Broin to get his before ours ships, lol!
