Title: Our SWTOR challenge
Post by: Ash on April 16, 2015, 09:37:07 am
Is our old SWTOR challenge still online somewhere, I can't remember the URL.  Was there a cheat sheet somewhere on this site too, was wanting to show it to a colleague who says he used to play the game.

I think it's still in the FTP for the follow the signal site but we let the domain expire a while ago. I'm on mobile right now, but I'll check later if I can restore it for you.

Excellent, thanks Lith.

Give this a try. I'm not sure what will happen when you get toward the end when it tries to access the PHP. I made that script always return true now so it might continue the flash animation. But everything else should work!

Here is as far as I got. I'll update it if I can get further.

  • Start by clicking the flashing icon.
  • Arrange the icons so that all are lit.
  • Code works out to: 28431
  • Click on the special star at 15 past the hour.
  • Puzzle answer: 23-41-12-18
  • Connect planets in order without crossing lines.
  • Answer #1: Time
  • Answer #2: Reflection
  • Answer #3: Darkness
  • Select prime numbers + the prime number digits reversed.
  • Pick the direction the sound comes from.

Awesome stuff!

Wish there was another game we could all get into.

On the planets, I'm only seeing "III", "V" and "IX" marked.  All others are blank.

That's correct, you have to figure out the order of the others.

Lith, is the Guild page that had the FA logo segmented as buttons still around, I'd like to see it too if you still have it, the challenge got me all reminiscent and teary eyed.

I'm pretty sure I have a backup of that somewhere. It use to be located on this domain, but was since replaced with this main portal. I'm out of town so I don't have access to the computer with all my backups. I need to also scan through the old 'followtheangel' FTP because there is a lot of nostalgia that I'd love to collect and re-present for you guys.

Be prepared to shell out another $20 for the expansion. I did the same thing a few weeks ago, but I realized all the new content (getting to level 60, new story, etc) requires an additional $20 purchase. Even with that you are STILL locked out of all the subscriber stuff.

Ok, I dug up the old SWTOR site and have hosted it for your pleasure! I am looking forward to digging up even older gems over the next several days/weeks. I also updated the URL to the challenge. I'd like to host the legacy stuff on the follow the angel domain. Seems appropriate. And with T's permission we could perhaps add a menu item up above called 'Legacy' or something and link to all this.

Wait they let you buy Rise of the Hutt Cartel without straight up taking you to Shadow of Revan? Shadow of Revan comes with RotHC, as does subbing for one month come with RotHC. I can't believe they would let you make that option happen.

Not to drift off topic too much. But I think the good days of premium MMO are behind us. It's whoever has the most money to shell out wins. Strategy has been marginalized.

Massive download, too. Not jumped in yet. I love Revan, so will be getting that. I pre-ordered RotHC, so all's good with that. Will have to just buy Revan's stuff.

I don't think they let you buy just RotHC anymore. It is free with a subscription and it comes for free with Revan.

Just resubbed for 60 days as the FTP bling was annoying as hell. I'll either be on my Sith Warrior Caldus or Jedi Alcides & Kassius. Lots of nice little changes have gone on.
