Yeah, this doesn't look much different from me strapping my current Hydra to my Rift, but just the fact that it is wireless is a big leap forward. I'm anticipating an announcement of a partnership between Oculus and Sixense, especially with Razer out of the picture.

They plan to make it work with 5 sensors. The headmounted one is going to be much smaller. Like little cubes. Should allow you to have one controller for each hand. One on the head, one on each leg. Giving you full body. And luckily you can easily extend the basic hdmi/usb cables going into the rift. Something you couldn't do with the hydra.

The details will be important.
