If anyone was doing recordings/video streaming of their experiences with VR Apps, I just found out about the new Mixcast program that was demonstrated in this year's VR/AR Association summit in Vancouver, CA.

The program is compatible with most of the PC HMDs available in the market right now including HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. I think it's definitely worth the try if anyone likes presenting their games to the masses.

Interesting. It does this without the need for a green screen? The VR title has to incorporate it into their game, however, so compatibility is limited.

Yes, there's a limit to how many games are compatible, but I hope they improve on this aspect since I spent several days on trying to make their non-sdk game titles to work for MixCast 2.0 without success. Not to mention that certain approved vr titles did not display very well. I am guessing that the "gold titles" are the best ones for MixCast.

The way this program works is that it uses a "background removal" tool that takes a snap shot of your background with your external camera to remove it and replace with the VR title's screen. The setup video explains more about how that's done.
