Cyberpunk 2077
« on: September 02, 2014, 09:21:35 pm »
I am not sure how many of you have ever played table top RPG's, but back in the early 90's I played a game called Cyberpunk 2020 and it was awesome.

2 years ago i learned that it was going to be turned into an MMO, the developer for the Witcher 3 put this video out.

This video below is the vision behind Cyberpunk 2077, this is from the mouth of the creator of the table top RPG Cyberpunk.

This is something I am going to keep my eye on!

Oh Christ, the only tabletop RPG game I every played was Cyberpunk.  To this day I see CP as the reason I like the Matrix so much.

That is true! When I first watched the Matrix I immediately thought about the days of playing Cyberpunk!

Could be another game to jack into!

From what i have gathered so far, a late 2015 release. They are keeping everything tight lipped.

It's an MMO? I thought it was going to be another Futuristic witcher-esque RPG? I pinged this a few years ago, too. Looks promising.

I would find it to be a bad move on Mike Pondsmith to not make it an MMO.

The original Cyberpunk table top game was only playable with other people, to me it would make more since to be a multi player game.

I'll look into it some more.

I was able to find this little bit of information.

People have been asking me if Cyberpunk 2077 will have multiplayer or if it will be a straight-up shooter, and I tell them to relax, because it will be a true RPG game," Iwinski says. "We are known for storytelling, and big game worlds, and so we’re taking all what we've learnt from previous three Witcher games, as well as the open-world aspect, and applying it to Cyberpunk 2077. So yes, it is an all-out RPG game, but we're looking at having a lot of new gameplay elements that I cannot talk about yet. One thing I can say for sure is that it is definitely NOT a multiplayer shooter."

They are working on different game play elements, which tells me multiplayer but not like a typical COD or BF.

I guess we will see in the near future, I believe once Witcher 3 is released they are going to start pushing out content for Cyberpunk 2077.

Witcher has been one of the "most improved" series ever, I think. Mass Effect got better, but they also butchered some aspects of it as they progressed, too.

I'm stoked. As with Bioware, I trust ProjektRED to do a good job.
