This is Tbone, Commander of the Furious Angels. As you are probably aware, the current peace is in a very tense state. Redpills are divided between those for Zion, those for the Machines, and those helping the Merovingian. As Commander of a Zionist faction, I feel it is important for us to rally together in preparation of the trials ahead. We have arranged a mixer designed to get fellow Zionists together and learn about each other.
The party is invite-only, open only to Zionist factions. RadioFreeZion will be providing entertainment, as well as the Furious Angels. Congratulations! You have been invited to attend an invite-only Zionist Mixer hosted by the Furious Angels! I am Tbone, Commander of the Furious Angels. You are about to be given the details of the gathering. For the sake of Zion, please keep the details confidential to yourself or your faction only.
Purpose: To bring all Zionists together to meet one another. Zion faction will have an opportunity to meet current or future allies. If you want to be known in the Zionist community, then this is the event to attend! We will have a casino, a raffle, and more! RadioFreeZion will be providing entertainment as well!
Time: Saturday, January 15th at 6p.m. Pacific (7 mst, 8 cst, 9 est).
Place: Club Deus in Park East, Downtown district
Directions: Club Deus is located at -705 13 424. The nearest hardline is Park East (North). The nearest subway is Pilson on the orange line. To get there from the hardline or subway, head north. The building will be very close to your right - the sign says "Deus Lounge". Enter the revolving door, head through the double doors, and get on the elevator to your left. Take the elevator to the top floor (floor 19). The access node (to keep the Agents away) can be found at -440 221 272.
Specifics: This event is formal. Please wear your best suit or dress. We will have escorts and bouncers the night of the event to keep gang members at bay and assure your safety. Leave a message there and I will have someone assist you in making sure you are prepared for the event.

Ok, so let me know what I need to add to the above. Suggestions? Improvements? Comments?
So far we have Helez working the casino, Lithium taking coats at the door, Broin/Coredump/Prozack bouncing/escorting...we still need bartenders, volunteers to run access node tours, etc. etc. We want this to be largely a roleplaying event. How much should the raffle be? What should be the highest bid for the casino? How do we keep non-invited out (besides keeping the location and time secret).

One thing we need to get started right away is creating a list of Zionist factions and their leaders' email addresses so that we can send out the invites.

We might also want to create a detailed list of who does what exactly. We also need a list of what items are needed (info, disguises, etc).
We also need to create some sense of excitement about this event. I suggest you put the formal text that you wrote above, as our commander, on the MxO forums and the rest of us will go crazy all over that thread and make people wanna come.
We have to be aware that we're making it harder for people to attend because we're keeping the location secret. That means we have to make an extra effort to convince them it's worth the trouble. So we need to push this event big time and make it as attractrive as possible.
We don't want to emphasize the fact that it's a secret because it will only attract party crashers. The forbidden fruit is always the tastiest :)

Put the message on the board. Give an incorrect location, tell Zionist factions to RSPV and give them by email the correct location 12 hours prior.

You know I'm starting to think that if we feel like the location has been leaked, that we could make this a public event i.e. not make it Zion-only.
It would be easier to create interest for the event if the date, time and location were well known and promoted. RFZ would do a better job of selling it too.

p.s. i have 2 different uniforms assembled for the females so far (unless nartak you were able to code any other white clothes) a coder will have to find me sometime and get the clothes to make copies for the other girls ... er ... female RSI's ... female RSI's will then have to meet with me and we'll vote on which of the two we want!! YAY!!

If it's not Zionist only, it loses its whole purpose. It's Zion or bust, I'm afraid! Some can probably guess the location, but not the time! If it leaks, we'll get to add some KOS. RIP is trying to stay on our good side and the Collective have some brownie points to earn as well. The usual trouble-makers should stay away out of respect, unless they decide to roleplay the crash, which is always a possibility.

Anyway, count me in. I'd love to bartend but I might not be sexy enough. Might want to leave that up to the female RSI. So instead I'll settle for access node escorts or anything else you throw at me.
Casino
I think raffles should be 200,000 each. That's a good amount that mostly anyone can afford (i think). Casino's highest bid should be like a million. How does the casino game work? I didn't understand it.
Advertising
I think Eroz and Coredump's idea would be cool. Advertising and keeping the location/time a secret at the same time actually might work. Advertising on mxo forums would get us better recognition from the mods and devs with our "community contact". We'd want to show that we're organizing an event mainly for better chances to get into the magazine, and for Tbone to be Beta Player of the Month. /cheer Tbone
An option could be to not mention anything about the location/time at all (instead of incorrect coordinates). Maybe throw them off by saying it will be at the "end of this month" and not say more. Zion factions would contact us and we will get a longer list of factions that way. We can even meet a member in-game (days prior) to verify if they are Zion. In any case, I'm sure Tbone will definitely post on the mxo forums at least after the party to show that we actually did have a party. It's all good.
Last note: If the devs see interest on the mxo forums, they might be egger to come. Also, contact the devs and see if they can boot party crashers.

As I said Grim, I don't think the devs thought girls should be wearing much white. I guess one of them would rather see girls in black instead of white clothes...

Personally I think our girls should be in white. It just fits better with the whole "angel" thing and with the guys. It also makes us easily recognizable. Everybody in white (almost) is an FA !

I will be there for sure.
My wife and kids will be going on holiday the middle of next week (in honour of the event) so that I will have some time to enhance my lowly 27 lvl character (anyone care to assist with some mission groups??) into something that can represent the Angels.
I will also need to secure the proper clothing from someone, but I will still be without a tag as my team is captainless.

Wow, just checked out that club (FYI:on the top floor) and its gotta be the pimpest club in the Matrix . Good pick, T. Looks like we'll need 2 or 3 bartenders. The main one is pretty big and might be better with 2, 1 could do since we're not really serving anything. Theres another bar near the pool tables that will need a bartender as well. I'm up for a Croupier job, just need to know how this will be done. What are the games that we'll be playing? I suppose Blackjack could be played using /random 13. Also I don't think info should be a prob either.

Roulette would be feasable minus the 0, corner, & Red & Black bets. /random 39 would allow for odd, even, and 1st 2nd & 3rd 13. It would also allow for a HUGE payoff if someone can win a max'd bet on a single number. Not betting corners would unfortunately cut playable bets to about 1/8 of the possiblities but would work I suppose.
And slot machines (w/o a visual of coarse) would work w/ 3 consecutive /random 7's or so. You pick which number of 7 is your 'cherry' and if the first roll matches the win'x' amount, blah, blah, blah...
This will make for a VERY active area chat window...

On another thought, the dealers for the games could program the /randoms in their macros...assuming they know how.

Those are some good ideas for games. Never been to Las Vegas so I'm not sure how some of the games are played, but is craps possible? Seems like Area chat will be getting very busy...maybe if we had several games going on at once the less important ones could be conducted in team chat (the dealer would create a team and add the players to it). Can you everyone in area chat see the numbers that are rolled, cuz that might get confusing as well?
Also We could have up to 5 or 6 of us sitting at those tables as 'slot machines'. So a player would come up, ask us what type of game we are, the FA member would say lucky 7's slot machine, and the player would sit down and play in team chat with the dealer. What do you think? Man, we might just get rich!

Well there's a restaurant in Club Deus where the event will be. So I thought we could get some of our spies to disguise as waiters (isn't there a disguise that looks like a waiter ?) and just mingle with people that are in the restaurant and spice up the night. It just adds life to the restaurant.

hey, i have a disguise for SWAT officer, we could use those for bouncers as well, or use them for a set group designated as security (if we divide the two) .... meh

Just for your information, while Evan and I were checking out the club we ran into 3 guys from the Glitch Society. we said that we were just exploring, and so did they but they stayed in the building for quite some time, so if anything would happen at Deus, there's an exact replica of it nearby called club Janus

An idea I just thought of with those tables. Make everyone sit down and the rule is they can't sit with someone of their own faction. Get them to form a mission team with their table and chat it up to "mix" things up? Eh? Maybe not enough tables...

That might work, but what about the NPC's on the tables? That would cut it down to three per table. Btw, i thought that Deus was bugged. Maybe with the new patch it works.....

I've added to the list a section for people who need an FA uniform. If you do need one please let me know and let me know if you need a male or female uniform. We'll then get our coders to make them.
If you have any disguises that would makes sense in the club, please let me know as well. I think having a ton of guys in FA uniform is great but having a few of us acting as the club's staff, doing their thing there, also adds to the experience of our guests.

As for disguises, go ahead and code a bunch of any disguises that make sense in a club/restaurant i.e. waiter, doorman, chef, etc.
If you can code a few FA uniforms too, that'd be nice.

Seems like we might have alot of people coming so if we need another croupier I can do it otherwise I'll be willing to work where ever I'm needed on Saturday.
Also, The Forgotten's Mr.Capone's computer couldn't handle the new patch and he might not be able to make it to the event, but I did post a link to our thread on their forums so they should be able to RSVP.

Oooh...What about recall team member ability? That is supposed to teleport a team member to your location, has anyone tried this ability or know if it works cross-districts?

i can code now (yay!!! thanks to those who helped me out last night!!) :) ... so anyone who has a female RSI needs to find me or PM me or IM me on AIM (xcapedpsycho) and let me know so that i can make them for you! mind you, we haven't agreed on a set female uniform yet, not many with female RSI's have said anything, so please please please let me know! thanks!! :)
i have about 11 or so disguises, i might try to code more later, but i think the ones we can get most use out of are agent and waiter. or else we can have someone who's job is to mingle use the lupine disguise and run around drunk, cuz lupine looks like a guy who went crazy and became a bum haha.

Alright, I have been working on some casino games that can be attempted but I'm not sure how the will work so if some of oyu wouldnt mind taking part in some during the rehearsal it would really help me out, also, I am the only dealer but I wouldnt mind someone who can help me collect the bets and take over for me if I feel like taking a little time to dance and attend the restaurant :P
Also since the casino is a bit far from the entrance and alittle hard to find, maybe there can be a sort of tour guide who can show the casino, dance floor, restaurant, VIP room etc.

Thats a good idea. I think many of us(Tour guide, Coat checker, Croupier, Waiters, and Drunk guy that hits on everyone) will be able to benefit from Text macros on Saturday. So you might want to think of some things you'll be saying a lot and create some macros to save time.
ie: /macro Do you work for UPS? I could have sworn I saw you checking out my package, I mean, You make my software turn to hardware, I mean....I wanna be on you.

I still don't know what I will do during the party... I think I may just walk around asking if the people are having a good time and if there was anything I could help them with...... If I have to go AFK I'll just be on the dance floor. =P
Because I am starting to really get into this coding business, I will try to make an assortment of pills and 'eye drops' to act as the food/drinks and possibly be able to make the uniforms, unfortunately I do not know which specific clothes make up the male or female (if one has been chosen yet) uniforms.
On a side as a maybe (don't know if i'll have the time to do this) I might make a few dresses and formal suits to hand out/sell to those who walk in informal, wearing their panties or going around shirtless....

i have currently coded the female uniform, but it is not set in stone; we've got a few options.
iris, you, along with anyone else who has a female RSI (zink, and don't complain) need to find me to get it, preferably sometime tonight!
i won't have internet tomorrow night, because i have to give back the wireless router i'm borrowing, so i will not have internet until saturday when i move back in to school.
if you end up getting the uniform from me five minutes before we go live at the party, it will cost you a /slap and your firstborn child. no excuses, this thread has been up for at least a week and i've posted several times to find me/IM me to get a uniform from me :)

Well my band and I landed a gig at the chain reaction in Anaheim at the time of the mixer so now it is questionable if I will even be able to make it. =( I may be back before the party ends but who knows....

Even better - make me that pink bunny outfit from "The Christmas Story"!!! If I could have that I would never change!

I tend to die alot because I dont have any cool stuff like speed or buffs, or anything else other than my kung-fu stuff loaded.

Well, There are alot of clubs but if the mervs and machinists are smart they wil realize that most clubs dont have security...Lets just hope for the best, and look on the bright side, Atleast we should have more to do in the constructs after the mixer...

To be honest T, I've had a problem with the secrecy around this mixer since day one.
It's a well known fact that most people can't keep a secret. It's been proven time and time again. Especially when they don't have any good reason to. Even members of our own faction couldn't keep it secret...
So this secrecy is kind of ineffective since any of our ennemies can get the details if they really want to. It also hurts us since it prevents us from advertising it properly. Most places where we could promote an event (RFZ , special MxO threads, etc) need a time and a place to advertise it. It's really hard to advertise efficiently an event that will take place "somewhere at some time". Many people won't make the effort of sending an email to get an invitation.
I suggest that we don't make our next event secret, even if that means fighting off a few party crashers. Anyway, chances are that the party crashers or uninvited guests will get a bad rep just like RIP did.

Sorry for the trouble but I really want to go to this thing. I just got my new computer 2 hours ago and just now got it hooked up to the internet. I have DSL and I submitted a petition to get the link for the installer. There are less than 2 hours until the party..
Is there anything else I can do to get MxO on this computer faster? Trust me guys, I'm really trying to make it! But I don't know if my computer can even get it all set in time. Should I just not worry about it or keep trying for that client?

Well the best thing I can think of is just to wait for the installer link....... Do you have your old computer with the game still? If you were 'I'd do anything' desperate you could copy the files onto a cd then transfer to your new computer..... and then destroy the cds after because caugh.... caugh.... under the eula we can't make any duplication of files on cds lol.
