It has come to my attention after much deliberation and talking with my fellow peers that in order to fully make an authentic Matrix MMORPG it is in the utmost importance that the creators allow for multiple fighting, when I am fighting people or Mobs it feels like they are taking a number getting in line and im fighting them one at a time, wheres the "jump in the air and kick two guys while do the splits" moves, or perhaps running across a couple of guys then kicking a third in midair, I have noticed that alot of people on the MXO threads who arent playing Beta have there sights set incredibly high, such as wanting to steal a harrier from an air force base and show up at the latesst shin dig landing on the roof...just aint gonna happen, so I have been more of a realist when thinking of what to expect from the final release. I do believe that multiple character fighting isnt a big task if done right, from the beginning, the problem lies here, the devs have made the structure of interlock and what not so they have set there limits and boundarys, if they were to implement a system that allowed for multi fighting they would have to totally turn things upside down, and instead of them doing that I see them digging more and more into the hole of 1 on 1 confrontations if they dig to the point of no return which I believe there just about to hit then it wont happen gauranteed.

There are many things that people want from this game and I believe that many of those things are ABSOLUTELY required in order for the game producers to tap the fan base that the Matrix movies have generated. sadly I just dont see it happening, So my question is this.... Realistically (not harriers or speeding down the highway on a motorcycle) what would you guys/girl like to see in the game?

Actually, multi-fighting is there.  It caused a lot of problems, and they took it out a build or three ago, but there are plans to put it back in.  It isnt as hard as you would think.  I think only Tbone and Natuan were the only other ones in beta back then when we played, they can tell ya too.

I submitted my multi-fighting ideas a long time ago. So far I haven't seen any of them implemented. Enemies used to interlock you at the same time. The animations and combat in general slowed down. Hopefully they'll get some sort of system working for that. You can multi-fight by interlocking someone who is already interlocked, so at least tha tis still in.

well, if they did impliment the whole multi-fighting thing, the actual skill under the soldier tree would be more useful, seeing as how it says 'youll be able to fight better against multiple enemies with this skill activated' (more or less)...so yeah, until they do in fact implement or reimplement what youre talking about, multi-fighting will just be a thing to watch in the movies (or reinact in The Specialists).

Another important factor that I have talked about is the lack of "out of matrix gameplay." I wouldnt mind being able to roam around my HVRCRFT and see things, maybe even (as girlie as it sounds no offense Grim) decorate or make it unique, that would definetly please all the MMORPG'ists that wish to have houses and faction enviroments, the possiblitys are endless have faction controlled towns places upgrades to hovercraft result in bonuses it wouldnt need to be half and half but something I feel like a program in the matrix and not a human whos jacking in, any thoughts on this feed back is greatly appreciated 8D

The amount of times the devs have been bombarded by the question of real world gameplay is countless. They have said that on release it is impossible, but it might, and I say might, be implemented during an expansion. But even then what would it really acomplish. I mean, half the arguement for HvCFT's is to attack squiddies, but seeming as we are under turce with thte machines there are no hostiles in the real world.

I know!! Melee weapons!!! We need melee weapons!! LOL ... just kidding ..... I had too much sugar this morning.  :D

Ok, back on topic ... things I'd like to see in the game and muti-fighting.

1. An option to stop screwing with the camera going into bullet time and interlock!!! That would be nice, but it isn't ground breaking. I have my camera set where I like it ... DON"T FRELL WITH IT!!! (Sorry, I have personal camera issues  :p  )

2. Since objects from the Matrix only exist in the Matrix ... give me some kind of storage in the Matrix, or at least a damn bag or two to clen up my inventory. My trenchcoat weights me down while I'm carrying my "Goin' to visit the Oracle" set of clothes and all of the weapons I can't use yet. If you think I'm goin' to sell my lvl30 weapons ... you're wrong.

3. BE NICE TO THE DEVS!! They could always implement reload during combat and then everyone would have to stock ammo too! Remember in the first movie when Neo descides to fight Smith in the train station. They BOTH ran out of ammo! Even when Neo and Trin went to save Morpheus. Neo swicthed guns SEVERAL time during the lobby battle because he didn't carry ammo! They could even put in the patch notes, "How's that for a more Martix like feel in the game." (Ok, I'm venting a little on the Dev-Haters)

4. Multi-fighting ... Now THIS is a hard topic, and I don't see it being solved anytime soon. The idea if Multi-fighting is simple, but how do you do that in a turn based combat system? There could be an 'Aggro Que' where others would have to wait there turn to fight, and  of course there would be mods that would work against you during combat ... but GGEEEEZZzz .... that is SO LAME!!!

So now what about solving it with different tactics instead? Of course I'm pretty sure it would require a type of secondary combat system ... one where the solo fighting tactic are replaced with muti-fighting tactics different amnimations, and special moves. Kinda like this ...

Treylar gets attacked by three Elite Guards in a mission. Trey begins the fight with engaging interlock on #1 guard. Once combat begins the other two guards are outside of interlock and using 'free fire.' Now inside interlock Trey targets the #2 guard and hits the Multi-fight ability, now the #2 guard is interlocked with #1 and Trey. Both tactics are viewable to Trey's player and now his combat tactic selections change. Also with the added guard in interlock Trey's tactic value rolls lower a bit. They would lower a bit more if the #3 guard was interlocked as well. This deduct value when engaging in multi-interlock could be offset based on the level of the ability.

Each of the guard's tactic rolls and Trey's occur at the same time, much like in single combat. But Trey would take damage for each of the rolls he failed. So if he beat the first and second guard but didn't beat the third then he would only take damage from the third, and the #1 and #2 guards would be damamged from Trey. Well, that's how it would work from behind the scenes ... the biggest problems would be in the timing of all in multi-interlock so it doesn't look like something from Final Fantasy but more like how it looked in Neverwinter Night's.
