Funny Articles. Updated very often.

2. www.woot.com

One of those "One Deal Per Day" websites. Usually junk, but fun to check daily.

3. www.pandora.com

Internet radio. Very good. If you have a smartphone, this basically makes it an iPod.

4. http://maddox.xmission.com/

Maddox's "Best Page in the Universe." This guy is really funny. Updates are slow, but amazing. His witty-ness led to this page of satire, and then to a NY Times bestselling "How-To" book. Really funny guy.

5. http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/

A web-comic called Ctrl-Alt-Del about 2 guys that are gamers. Pretty entertaining, updates 4 times a week.

Support / Load Times

This website loads INCREDIBLY slowly for me.

I have a decent-good computer, cable modem (Comcast ISP) and live in New Jersey. Of course all other web sites load very quickly.

There's no difference in load times between Firefox or IE7. Any suggestions? Or does anyone else experience this?

General / Servers Down - Happy Gathering!

I was just in-game so I got the message.

Servers went down at 3:04 PM EST (which is 2:04 FA time) to apply the new patch.

They are "expected" to be back up in 2 hours. So, 4:04 PM FA time.

If anyone is around or doing nothin, obviously a good time to hop on and hit the Tughri resources - Farm and Grove - plus go out mining!

General / Do Not Sell Keys

DO NOT sell your keys in game.

If you don't feel like doing a chest run or don't know where to go and want to sell your key, please keep it in the guild.

Every chest has rare item drops like Astrolabe. That thing is selling for like 5k in game. As people are starting to realize this, they are offering more money to buy the keys than the actual amount of gold it drops.

Don't sell your keys.

Please post if you are interested in any of these mobs. Whether you think they have good loot, you heard from someone they have good loot, or they just sound like something you'd be interested in killing.

There are too many for me to add them all to our map, but I will certainly add whichever ones you guys are interested in.

General / Marithain - Mahirim Clan City

I was up in Mahirim territory today. I checkout out the town at 7 10 W 19 23 S.

It's a clan named Dreadnaughts' city called Marithain.

That's the zeppelin that takes you up to the city. It's the only way in (and basically out, since the city is surrounded by a moat with nasty caster mobs, and the moat is surrounded by an unclimable mountain!)

I thought it was pretty cool - it must be hard to take this city!

I also added the info to our map.

Gonna hit this pretty hard today. Already got a good early head start here at the goblins trying to play with people and build 1-1 interest.

I know it's gonna be slow finding real quality people that mesh well with us, but hopefully I'll get enough people interested where we might get a good number of interviews, and hopefully a handful of good potentials from that.

We're at the point now where only 6 more members will blow this thing up. If only 6 people joined, AND they only played 2 nights a week for like 2 hours, that still puts another 2 people online every night.

At that rate, we should be able to start a regular nightly group of good mob hunting like the grey orks and deathless mages. Plus, you can take 100% newly created nubs there. They only need 100g for that 2nd weapon slot for a staff - all they need is mana missile to hang! And we can start more regular group PvPing too!

General / GATHERING LOTTERY!!!

This idea just came to me.

I'm proposing we hold a somewhat loose event - maybe 1-2 times each week.

The event will help boost everyone that is grinding up a gathering skill or trade skill. With the added benefit of more resources, everyone will skill up faster, feel less grind, and also have more time to spend on fighting - which everyone (myself included) thinks we should be doing more of.

So it would work like this.

The pool of people who want to participate each gather either a set number of nodes, or a set amount, or a set time 1-2 times each week for others. Everyone gets a day and we reset again.

For example, Jarimus, Likwid, Adad, and Knight participate. On Monday, everyone gathers wood for 1 hour and gives it to Adad. On Tuesday, everyone gathers herbs for 1 hour for Likwid. Next week, 1 hour metal for Jar on Monday, and fish for 1 hour for Knight on Tuesday.

It can be altered a lot of ways, especially if we just count nodes. So, do 3 nodes at some point and give it to whomever's week it is. We don't even have to do it at the same time, but that would just be a bonus to chill and talk about stuff in TeamSpeak.

I think it would be a good idea. I ran it by whomever was just in TS and no one said it sounded crazy. We just have to use the honor system, so np.

Please post here if you are interested in this. After we see who's interested, we can come to a concensus on the format.
