General / CAD MxO Gameday

For those of you who don't read CTRL-ALT-DEL, they are having a Matrix Online Gameday, In short that means there are going to be 200-300 people that will show up purely for the gameday. I don't know the chances of them coming to Vector to play but I think we really need to show them how great this game can really be.

Side-note: I don't know how many of you read CAD or *-bit, but thats where I got these links from.

Another side-note: I know we should never really push any kind of politics in the faction, but I personally feel that this issue could and will affect us all on this side of the pond and we should have the right to know about it before it happens

So how many of you have been reading about the Net Neturality issues that Congress is trying to push through. Well if you haven't you should take a look at http://www.savetheinternet.com/ Basically Congress is trying to make it so major corparations (like AT&T, Comcast, /Internet Service Providers) would have the right to slow or block internet content at their own disgression.

General / Eroz's Fatal Error.

Sorry to tell you guys but upon my last jack out my personal equipment was ruined. Originally I thought the problem was replaceable, and it would just mean that I would be unable to jack in for a short time. It looks like the problem is much worst then I thought and the time to replace the parts will be much longer, long enough in fact that I might not have my RSI when I get back. Before I wrote this message I had a proxy switch over all Matrix Captain duties to Dagonet. This was my choice and a quick choice since he is/was my first mate. In the higher council this choice could be changed, but I expect the crew to be taken well care of in any case. I plan to help with the operator duties on the ship itself but will not be able to jack into the Matrix any time soon. Time message is just to let everyone know what is happening.

OOC: In short I thought my refurbished video card had died on me. After testing it, it seems like it is either my motherboard or the power supply (again), and it leaning toward the prior. If it is the motherboard, between having to replace it and having to by a copy of an operating system (since it is a Dell motherboard) its looking like a 300 odd dollar fix, something I can not afford at a poor college student. So I wonâ€™t be paying for my account again until I know that I can get everything in working order again. So just in case things need to be handled in game Dagonet will be taking over for now. This has all plans to be temporary, but it could be upwards of 6 months before I can get back in. I hope that Tbone lets me stay on as an operator, because I really like having the titled of longest active FA member.

Appeartly my video card decided to die on me last night. So my desktop in is poor working condition until I can call NVidia and get them to replace this already replaced card. In the mean time I still have my laptop and can get my desktop in viewable condition so, I'll be seeing everyone on the boards, but forget gaming. (And I've hardly got to try out C2.0 yet too.) I said it once and I'll say it again, FRAC FRAC FRAC FRAC.

PS. Dagonet if you see Herionimus in game invite him onto the ship.

Yea, his comic is still going strong.(The current storyline is sweet.) And he's been trying to get up on the Webcomics 100 list for the last few weeks, and we all got it up to about 182. But today the list was reset and our votes pumped him up to 24 so far. But it would be nice if we can get it even higher. The comic is good, especially if you like 8BT, CAD, or VGCats. I grow tried of this.

First off, please no one post any kind of reply, let them only use the fuel that they have now. They will quickly run out of it.

Second, we don't need to stoop to their level to win this battle. We didn't do it before, and they got banned in their own time. I assure you, it will happen again if you will just let it. (Which reminds me, maybe we should try and just stop posting again, when they grow bored they move on, and they'll most likely move on to something that gets them banned again. The pen is mighter then the sword)
