ESO dropping subscription requirement

March 17 for PC.  Game is coming out for consoles June 9.

I wonder if it's any better from when it was in beta.

Hmm, it might be worth it with no sub. After having downloaded SWTOR again and seeing all the crazy restrictions they have on F2P and how the expansion cost $20, it's nice that they say all the present and future content is included and the "Crown Store" is just going to be customization stuff.

You still have to buy the game which is currently at $60. This goes f2p on the 17th (two days from now). Anyone planning on getting it? If there's enough interest, I could be persuaded.

I will for sure be playing ESO now that it's gone the GW-style free-to-play model.  I quite enjoyed it, even with the horrific game-breaking issues, during beta and at release but put it down simply because it was incredibly group unfriendly outside dungeons and PvP.  I tried to do general questing with a couple friends, and it was a mess.

I plan to just treat the non-dungeon PvE as a single-player game and enjoy the PvP.  Pretty much exactly how I played GW2.
