We've done a big favor for you all, and the least you could do is support your faction. These people were given Beta and haven't even bothered to report in our Beta Teamspeak Server yet:

well since i have no credit card (i am waiting in the mail for one and i was not expecting beta in the first place), i have not been able to even install beta ... every time i tried to log on to the beta teamspeak server i would get an error no matter what i tried ... please don't take that as "not supporting the faction" ...

My situation is very similar to Grim's. I have a credit card, but everytime I am trying to log in it's saying that my information is rejected. So, I am waiting until I an get my hands on a new credit card, or atleast until the currect company accepts the current information I'm using which should only be in a few days.
I apologize for not getting on the beta TS server, but I figured that since I currently did not have the game installed on my machine, I would only be an annoyance to you, and it'd be an annoyance to me also for having to hear other peeps playing beta while I couldn't see or veiw anything, and me not being able to join them.
However if you still wish me to come on, I will. All I need is a list of times that you guys will be available on that server, and I'll try and somehow make a night of it.

Oh man, I'm waiting for a response from the MxO staff, for some reason the beta installer I DLed seems to be bugged. I installed it and now when I click on the Matrix Online game icon I get my cursor turning busy for a split second and then nothing happens, I can't figure it out for the life of me, but I will get onto the Beta TS server if I can, last time I tried it gave me a "Got a bad response from the server" error and I couldn't connect. I'm trying to be active, really I am! Just a few problems I'm trying to take care of :) please don't ban or kick me

For those without credit cards, a visa (or whatever) gift card with $10 or so on it will work for the authorization process. Waiting time is how ever long it takes to you to get through the bank line. Woot woot. Just an alternative idea for those who are young or have horrendous credit.

I finished the installer DL at my office & will bring it home to install. Unfortunately, some moron has killed phone service to the neighborhood while trying to remove tree debris after the hurricane...the last month has turned into a comedy of errors...but I'll be checking in soon enough.

I logged on to the teamspeak beta server this morning, but the room was empty (I assume since there's no beta testing today). I have managed to connect to MxO, and have "Jacked In" once or twice, but was having difficulty logging onto Teamspeak on Sunday because of certian weekend bandwidth contrictions placed by the University.
This means that I'll probably be doing most of my Matrix thing on weekdays... The joys of a paranoid college.

well....I havent been in beta perse....but I'm always on with them on the Beta TS server, and thats what he kind of asked you, to have the courtesy to at least go on there......

I have the same problem as Fox. My video card is underpar so i cant even get into the game. I assure though that i am working on rectifying the situation and will be on as soon as i possibly can. If you want me to report anyways, I'll make sure to do it, but probably not til wednesday cos, like Nobuyuki said, no ones likely to be on right now.

I should be able to check in this wednesday but for some reason when I tried to get on Teamspeak earlier to day no one could hear me. I could hear everyone else still so I'm not sure what the problem was. Hopefully I can figure it out by then.

hey im finally back on the net you may have seen me pop up but i wasnt really on my dad in missouri gets on the comp so msn and yahoo pop up. anyways lately my computer got a virus, i was able to fix it and i have just now read the email about beta, that rocks guys! ill be on as soon as i figure out everything thats been goin on lately. so anbody who can help me get back on ma feet would be deeply appreciated. ive got a good videocard fortunately so that wont be a problem.

I'm still waiting for a response for my petition I sent into Monolith.... *sigh* They said that they'll respond within 48 hours of their normal bussiness hours so I'm hoping for a response sometime tomorrow.

Heh. Hey Pipp, welcome to Beta. If you have access to a credit card (i.e. parents), just tell them that it's only so they can verify your residence, identity, etc. It only checks for last name and (I think) address.

i apologize for being inactive, i've just had my first round of exams my freshman year of college so i hope you understand, (my philosophy class is pretty much a 'let's talk about the matrix' class, so i bet i aced that one). I am planning on getting on TS asap, but my laptop does not have a mic, and the school computer store doesn't sell them, and i don't have a car to go into the city and get one, etc. i know you do not want excuses, as beta is the perfect time to hone ourselves as a faction and i want to be there, believe me. my video card problem is also bugging me, but i have conveniced one of my friends down the hall to let me play on his computer so i should be on soon if i can get it on his machine somehow. Thank you for understanding, and I will hopefully see you all soon in beta.

yeah ... i finally got a credit card and downloaded the client and everything ... after it was done, it was past the time where i could create a new character, so the next day i tried again, and it had another patch to install, so i did that, and now it won't run. i kept getting error messages. i sent in a petition and they responded that i didn't have a good enough video card. so i'm screwed out of beta until i get a new computer. which probably won't be until thanksgiving. :( this is seriously heartbreaking :( a friend of mine offered to let me borrow his computer (since he's a geek and has two) until then ... but that will still be another week. so i'm killer sorry ... i was looking forward to coming home from band and getting a beta fix ... since these little mxo icons and emails have been staring at me and taunting me for almost two weeks now. :( unless any of you know some uber 1337 hacking skills that have anything to do with the kernel32.dll file then you won't see your gRimkiTten in game for another week. :( ... i'm gonna go cry now .... **sigh**

I managed to get hit by another hurricane, & as a result am still waiting for things like phone, power, water, prettymuch everything at my temp rental property. The only chance I have to check in right now is at my office. I'm getting the shakes...FA withdrawals...

Whew! Been gone for too long!
I haven't been able to use the beta on the PC here because it was running Win98, which has a few...issues...with running. Just got an XP upgrade, and I'm starting it up for the first time. Only problem is...some bastard stole my name. I'll get a solid name up, and start getting in gear. I'll try to get into teamspeak soon, but no guarantees (it's my roommate's PC).

I've tried since Wed, and have (just) now submitted my second petition. (No answer on the first, though...thurs - Sat is 48hrs...could just be a bit slow)

My computer is under the requirements right now (RAM and Video Card). However, there is good news. I may be getting a new comp soon! If not that I'll hopefully be able to get this one upgraded within the next few weeks. I'll make sure to let all of you know once i can finally get in.

512 Ram=about $100
Radeon 9600 XT=about $150.
if anyone needs to upgrade, just get a 9600 XT it runs just about every game (in my library, which includes Doom 3 and Farcry) fine. And dont upgrade RAM by just 256. This games minimum requirement should be 768.

I'm alive!!! I swear to god I'm here. *phew* Ok, here's the run down, I just moved to a new place, using 56k *gag* to connect right now. In a couple days my DSL will be up and trhen I'm still haveing the problem of the dang installer not working for me. So, I'm still here in a couple days I'll start banter with MXO support again but I have no clue what's wrong with the installer. *sigh* Don't forget about me guys I'm not dropping out, I'm doing my damdest to get this stuff squared away.

Really? Damn....Did he say why? I think it might have been because of his website...you know no one replied to his thread....shame...he seemed like a good guy.
But, as I did tell Tbone, all those who have credit card problems don't despair for long, because as long as you pre-order you'll get the pre-order box with the information to register for beta no credit card needed. Only snatch is that you'll only be able to start beta Nov. 18th....but hey as long as you get in right?
Also just a note: I know that I might have atleast seemed disagreeable with this in the past, but if it isn't, I'm not positively sure seeing as how I'm posting here, but the BETA forums should be hidden from those who have not recieved the notification, or at the least hidden from Eris and Travis's account. I got *another* beta invite email and it talked about forums made to discuss beta OUTSIDE of the official beta boards is a no no. So unless we want FA out of beta, if it isn't already I think this threead should be hidden.

I am inactive at the moment because of one tinsey winsy problem. I have two hd's, one for work and one for games, the work one runs on XP, which is fine, but it is only an 8 gig HD, whereas my Game HD is 180 gig, but unfourtunately runs on 98. I am working on it, but give me a little time.

Get on teamspeak. Even if you don't have a mic yet, at least you can hear what we're doing.
On AIM, you can message anyone in game by using their in game name and the suffix:
@TheMatrixOnline.com
In other words, if you add Gillette@TheMatrixOnline.com to your Buddy list, you will see when I am on and offline and can message me in game (or out since I'm pretty much always logged on).

Ugh I was put on the inactive list because I didn't go on TS?
With the beta time starting at midnight makes things difficult combined with school so I can only Betatest on fridays and saturdays. And most of the times when I jack in, I forget to log on TS, I'll remember next time.

Hey I'm in Beta! I've had problems getting kicked offf the server a lot. I have DSL, but the server times out and I'm kicked. It's not much fun! I got in though, and have submitted several bug reports. I'm leary of doing teamspeak AND MxO at the same time--the same reason I don't do AIM... I get kicked too much now so I'm paring down my overhead. As soon as Tech support finds out why I get kicked so much I can get back on TS, too. My handle is FIRSTBORN. (I'm still a noob, though. I might need some help--I can get through my first mission without bugs crashing my system ????)

Ok. Everyone we can not tell if you are active or inactive, the only information we have to go from is your post count and your activitiy in TS. If you are active and we are listing you as inactive, find out why we are listing you as inactive so we can fix the problem.
If you are having computer problems, post them and I sure someone can help you fix the problem.

Ok, I have rerouted the install to my larger HD, and now all is working, YAY, i should be able to play tommorrow, after I have downloaded the monster patch. I mean, WHY IS IT SO BIG?

actually my system arrived at my friend's place today ... he is putting it together for me and getting all the software on it ... so next week i will dump the dell and havea brand new, BE-AH-uuuuuuutiful machine to play with!
