Just out of character for a sec, we are taking applications from both sides of the atlantic, so if your from EU or Australia or East Asia you will still be considered.

If you have any friends who would like to join, please tell them to hurry. Recruitment will be closing soon.

Good.  I'm glad we're keeping our numbers limited.  Better for organization, communication, and other words that end in "tion."

This is definitely good news. I think we have enough right now so that when the game is released (and everyone who's not really into has left) we'll have a good number in our faction.

Dude, catalyst, your avatar looks like joey from friends...but yes.

Numbers closing = sweet.

Most likely our way of closing it will be to make the challenge incredibly hard. If that doesn't work, we'll just close it completely.

Perhaps once the game is out and we have been playing for a number of months, we will run into people without clans and end up running some missions with them and let them join. I know it won't happen to often, but remember that we can still recruit in game and once the game starts.

Hardcore players will likely side with hardcore players, so expect some serious competition come game time.  My hopes are that we'll get some good players from this group and develop our not-so-hardcore userbase accordingly.

I think that the way most post-release clans recriout through trail in-game, and I suppose that will be how we do it.

Leave it to Silas to say what everyone was thinking, sorry Catalyst...

But I'm glad to hear from Tbone himself that we're closing the recruitment soon.  We're gonna need somemore ships as it is, and soon it could get out of hand.

Cat, I thought he looked like Joey also, but I didn't want to say anything to be mean ya know? Anywayz, glad to hear recruitment is closing, but to keep on topic as the wrong way to post, I think that we do NOT need to actually mention the source. Just like ya know say follow the path of neo or go to where neo went. Ya know.....that sorta stuff....

If we're going to be needing more ships, then we'll need more captains. *Checks watch* Uhh...i'm free... ;)

If recruitment is actually closeing i cant express how glad i am to have just joined! As to the original topic of how Not to recruit i myself have made some mistakes but i have fixed them all. :) . As to the hard core gamers, there is always going to be a few players on every game that are at a level that seems too high to have ben reached with the amount of time the game has ben out. If we can get those players on our side, all the better. it always helps to have some major muscle around :).

I think that the numbers we have got are good and I'm glad that we are ending recruitment.  Now we need to know what Phase two is, Tbone.  I'm guessing it will be get to know your crew mates well and also the rest of the clan, I would hate people to split up into thinking ' my ship is better than yours...' but I don't think that will happen because we are all intelligent people and we should all be getting to know our shipmates already.  So give us a heads up Tbone.

getting to know your crew mates before the game starts is good. haveing a crew that is constantly online at completely different times does no good to the Angels as a whole. i look forward to finding out who my crewmates will be, if i get in that is ::fingers crossed::

I'm glad someone said it...I wasn't going to mention anything about the Joey look-alike avatar.  My grandmother always said, "Keep your mouth shut", after all.

Like the new avatar, Catalyst!

On a more pointed note, I'm also glad recruitment is closing.  Even if I don't manage to make the cut, and can't reapply, ending recruitment is a good thing as a whole for FA.

Seeing as you can't see his eyebrow well (and the other at all), I would say no.  It's a close view of his face, showing his left eye.  He's wearing a forehead protector/bandana around his head, maybe that's what you're seeing.

i cant find anything wrong with it...looks great!

but anyway closeing recruitment is good, it keeps the numbers down and keeps the Angels a more managable force. i just really hope i make the cut ::fingers have ben crossed for days now::

somewhat back to the original topic here. i have noticed a few other thread on different forums have stolen the idea of the Angels. they are starting to use the ##Broadcast Depth and what not in their own threads for entirely different clans. im not sure that this can be stopped but the only thing i can think of is the fact that the greatest form of flatery, is copying another. either we have become that popular or people just dont have an imagination anymore.

A bit of both Malkuth, a bit of both.  Such a format is common now, and though we can do nothing to stop it, we are now seen as the originals, something valuable.

Post by: Tbone on May 20, 2004, 01:24:40 pm
The format was originally used in the old Ubi site. If you'll notice on the newest video, one clan's name was Promethius. When any new item was made on the website, or announcement on the forum, it would usually appear like this:

## Broadcast depth
## Incoming Transmission...
## Geiger // HvCFT Promethius
## RELAY Initialized - Spy Abilities

Here it is! The newest skill tree! Blah blah blah spy!

## End Transmission...

I decided to use the format because many had grown to see that and think of something official and important. I guess many now don't remember the format being used, however, so we appear to be the creators. We are, at least, making sure that the transmission part of the roleplaying does not die!

well it's good that people now think of us when they see that format being used. and also think of us when other clans use it. it ups our reputation and helps us create a name for ourselves as a powerful force inside the game.
