I think we should investigate moving to Printfection ( http://www.printfection.com/ )
They seem to have a better selection of items and color options.

I would like it if someone can give me a FA logo that I can put on some under-roos. We found a site, customink.com, that can let us design some non-thong options. We tried cafe press, but we could only get boy brief underwear that had hearts and couldn't use the FA logo. I'm really interested in having some fun FA options to wear so any help either in providing logos to use or getting out there and updating the FA shop would be super appreciated! :)

I like the idea of getting it all into a DB/folder structure with a module that links them, rather than them being lost in a thread :) I was looking for a collection of sig sabers...

Yeah I was digging through the forums trying to find something until likwidtek told me to just give it up and post a thread about it. It would be awesome to have all the icons in one easy to find location. Thanks for all the response and help guys.

Ok, so with all the help I was able to find the logos I needed and design some stuff but you have to buy in quantities of at least 6 *sigh* and if you don't want them to charge you an arm, leg, and your firstborn you have to order at least 12. So I guess it's back to the drawing board on that.
Also, in all that info was a link to the official cafe press store (http://www.cafepress.com/faitems) and the things sold there are Matrix based. I know you are all super busy already, but it would be cool to update the store with some new SWTOR gear. I would be totally willing to help with this in any way I can. Let me know if there is any interest or how I can help :)

We should reopen the store. Honestly it'd be awesome to keep the matrix items but in a different category. I really could use a few FA shirts though.
I hate to fork this idea but, for those of you in the US, we have a bunch of connections with people who can get shirts and stuff printed on the cheap. Maybe we could do a run just for us without having to pay the cafe press tax. Personally I'd be interested in at least a shirt. A ball cap would be nice however I'd destroy a white one.

I'm all for getting new clothing items made up for SWTOR but I think first the staff needs to have an adult conversation on direction the FA "brand". We are getting to the point with clothing items, PR at conventions (eurogamer) and the like that we really need to have a cohesive brand.
If you think of the old MxO forum Sigs, and our new SWTOR forum Sigs now as a small example of how professional we look when we are all the same then you kindof get the idea of how important it is to have a universal "brand" for our organization.

you don't quite get how he's using the word brand. think marketing speak, not cattle :)
every bit of information that gets put out by any FA member is a representation of the FA brand, if you will. the text you speak publicly represents our brand, the videos, the logo, the signatures, etc.

Well, he was talking about forum sigs, I I assumed we were talking about artwork. ;)
But yes, how we present ourselves to the public is important. I've been dialing down my SWTOR forum posts partly because I don't want to establish a faulty image as we near release, and partly since it's all mostly academic now anyways. And for any questions I have, I can just ask the FA who are...privileged. ;)

well, the world of marketing-speak isn't exactly second nature, just those of us that are more exposed to it due to our jobs. no by no means should you be ashamed for your assumption :)

So, I am just checking in. I'm super excited about getting some new SWTOR gear and showing some FA pride. I know that there needed to be a discussion about the direction of the FA "brand". Has there been a meeting yet? If not, will it be an open meeting? Is there anything I can do to help? I am still super interested and would love to help this project move forward. :)

We have not had that meeting yet, but I don't anticipate any big changes. Our official logo is the one included in the banner at the top of this website. We are working on getting the files in one secure location that members can access for these purposes...
