The Matrix Online has started a new promotion called "Follow the White Rabbit", where current MxO subscribers can invite five of their friends to play the game. You should have received five keys in your email.
To go alongside with this promotion, we've decided to start a promotion called "Follow the Angel", where you can invite up to five of your friends to earn an interview to fly with the Angels.
To submit your friend, post in this thread with the following information:
Friend's RSI Name
Friend's Forum Name (if applicable)
Friend's Email Address
Friend's Age
Along with these details, you will also need to confirm how you know this friend and that this friend has Teamspeak and a microphone. Your friend will be required to take a screen cap of their server select screen.
Also be aware that you will be held accountable for your friend. If it is discovered that your friend is attempting to join FA to cause ill-will towards the faction, your membership with us will be affected, so be positive that you know your friends well enough to risk your own Wings.
Like the MxO promotion, this offer ends September 30, 2006.

You can start as soon as you'd like. As for the number five, in theory if you invite five of your friends to play MxO and they decide to stay, I'd like for you to have the opportunity to get them all an interview. This doesn't mean you have to invite five or even one. Also be aware that giving them an interview does NOT guarantee them entry into the faction.

Friends I trust.... hrm.... seem to be lacking those recently.
I actually have one friend who is a proven dedicated gamer, and would fit well with us... unfortunately due to firewalls, he won't be able to play or have an interview until he returns from Afganistan. If the offer is still up when he gets back (15-30 days) can I still nominate him for an interview? This man LIVES on his computer, he does networking for the Army, and is extremely loyal once he chooses a side. I've already convinced him to start playing when he returns, so....

For those of you who do not know, Claudius is a current member of Shadows of the Infinite. He's a cool guy, loyal to the SOTI/FA causes, active player, and most importantly, wants to earn his wings. I am assuming because SOTI is about the closest thing we have to a bonifide ally, the crossover won't stir up any grumbles. However, that is something we can address during the interview.

I got mine in my JUNK MAIL folder... 5 keys sitting waiting.
I'll pass one or two keys along here, if anyone needs 'em.... I might even start an account for myself, to see ya'll online again, although I wont have internet access from a gaming PC until ~8th September.

Like Walrus said, make sure you are opted in for dev team emails in your station acct setup. They will be sending more keys soon hopefully.

Well, since they extended their deadline, I suppose we'll extend ours as well. Nov 30th is a long time, but at the rate you guys have been taking advantage of this, it won't be a problem...heh.

Hey now..... I used all my keys trying to get people interested in the Matrix, unfortunately, they didn't stick. And the only friends I have in game are Furious Angels :). I consider that very selective choices in friends. That and Woodgrain, and some of his people, but you know that story. Screw the rest of the world, I think we have it great! Why should we share with WoW or SWG people not willing to give us a chance? Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead!

I was wondering Tbone if after we post about our invite a friend for an interview if you just send them an email denying or granting them an interview and how long does it take exactly? Only reason i'm asking is my buddy from work is diehard zion and i have gotten him to level 17 almost 18 already. Just wondering, :|> :|> :|>. Also he has played Counter Strike and TimeQuest and completely uninstalled Timequest for MXO. He really wants to be an Angel and i'm sure you all would like him, he's got a good sense of humor.

Just got word from Ibet that he's fallen in love with MXO, after spending all day playing (play time is now 1d 1h 8m). He's subscribing full time and really wants to join the best faction around, which of course, is us :). I really have a good feeling about this guy, I think he'd fit in perfectly.

If you vouch for the person, they get the interview. Declining or accepting comes AFTER the interview. You are responsible for getting your friend online at a good time and helping get the interview set up.

Cool, so what's the first step in this? When would be a good time to do an interview? I can arrange for Ibet to be ingame pretty much anytime after 5pm CST any night. Depends on when you would like this done.

We've tried Wikipedia before, but it's never really materialized. If you can get it going, I'd be glad to help out in any way.
