I've been reading some interviews with Nate Mitchell. Sounds like they have a prototype with a much higher resolution panel and he says it is night and day difference. Their number 1 priority is to have higher res for the commercial version. According to Nate, this fixes most of the issues with the current dev kit.

Revalis, can I have your Construct program for tonight? Also, I might try to stream via Twitch.

I don't know that it would work for the Rift without having the SDK and Rift camera setup.
Right now, it's a third person camera view with no focal split -- and it pulls all the input from the mouse axis. I'm fairly certain I need the SDK to be able to accept input from the controller. :/

Just read about that. Rough stuff. The guy helped found Scaleform and Gaikai (both big fuckin' deals), AND was working on the Oculus. He had talent and was going places.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a major setback for Oculus. And a lot of those guys had been friends since college. That's gotta be tough.

Yeah it's a sad shame, I believe he was the Lead Engineer right.

Sad day, not just for the rift but also the world.

Is it safe to assume tonight is a no go or are we holding out and seeing where the chips fall tonight?

Furious since 2006.
