ferris: it's a japanese shou symbol for longevity, or simply, 'long life'. it's also a tattoo I plan on getting under my left wrist at some point.

just to remind yall i can make sigs too, if beleev is unavailble... i know he's the head-sig-guy and all but i have no problem helping him out and i do have the original FA sig templates... i've made tivod's, knocturnal's, imjice's and of course my own so far...

I like the symbol, Adrenaline!  Yeah, i know several people who have gotten japanese symbol tattoos.  Of course, I have a feeling that some of their symbols don't actually mean anything, so you already have one up on them.

yeah i'd never put one on if I didnt know what it meant, I hate when people do that, and even feel more sorry for the people who think they know what something means, and get it tattoo'd only to find out it means something completely different. hehe.

but yeah, getting that one on the bottom of my left wrist, and I'll be getting a different one that  translates to 'thankful' on the back of my neck someday, though somewhere inconspicuous so it can easily be covered by hair or a shirt or just not noticed easily unless someone is purposely looking.

I like the colors Heironymus!  It's an interesting choice.  My only suggestion would be to change the color of the widgets, so you can see them moving in the background.  Good job.  I like the quote too!

hey adrenaline how do you find out what they mean? want to get one myself, but dont trust asking someone and finding out my tattoo means child rapist lol

Zink: very good question, if you arent down for learning some japanese culture and kanji, katakana, etc, Id have to suggest checking the internet VERY carefully. I did probably something like 6 months of research for the one in my sig, (which is also good for finding out if you REALLY want that tattoo and wont regret it later). I had been looking into the second one I want for about a month and a half when a friend of mine told me he had a friend who worked at a local japanese restaurant we frequent, who had spent quite a bit of time in japan, and knew the language and culture very well, so I was able to verify the ones I wanted with him, and he verified the first one I decided on as well for me.

I concur with Adrenaline... Grim yours does kick ass...especially since that is really a pic of you.... and the scythe in the background is also a good choice... I just noticed it today...

heh tiz, funny you mention that, I thought about putting scrolling white matrix code in the background on my new one, but when I tried it out it made it too busy, so I left it out.
