Well as long as we're going international, I'm also really into Mexican films, but only the quality one's, not the one's they show on Sunday afternoon on the local Spanish channel.  Among these are...

Amores Perros
El Pecado de Padre Amaro
El Arte de Morir
Y Tu Mama Tambien

Amores Perros was such a beautiful movie!  It made me cry.  Y Tu Mama Tambien was too deep for me, I think.  And I'm fond of Disney endings, aside.

I didn't care much for THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT. Everything that happened in that movie was simplistic and predictable. The Butterfly Effect (the scientific metaphore) is a metaphore to show that you can never know every variable to any situation, and that nothing is 100%. The movie portrayed that fine to Ashton Kutcher's character, to whom despite being a college nerd, with a knack for time travel, couldn't ever seem to get his head out of his ass and do some simple predicting.

A better movie for Chaos Theory is JURRASIC PARK, or FORREST GUMP even.

Personally, I like all sorts of movies. Some are very contraversial (much like me), others not so surprising.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy is by far the best trilogy ever filmed. I'm also a fan of the original Matrix movie, obviously not the other two if you've read any of my other posts.

I feel that anyone mature enough to see past the porn and bad acting, that SHOWGIRLS has a very well told, in depth story to be found. For that matter, ROBOCOP and STARSHIP TROOPERS are two movies by the same director that are also first class in story, if not failing in acting. But some movies are too risky for big names to put their fame on the line for.

I also like SNATCH, AMERICAN BEAUTY, and ONE HOUR PHOTO. All very great.

As far as television goes, I'm into Star Trek: DEEP SPACE NINE, but mainly 24. 24 is quite easily the best television program on right now, and the best I've ever seen.

You want chaos? Huh? Huh? HUH!? Read Dr. Suess's "The Cat in the Hat".

Films? Lord of the Rings 1&2 were both told well to some extent, except excluding Bombadil from the first movie killed the whole movie for me, as that was the single best part of the book. The 3rd is by far the best ending to a trilogy. Nothing can touch this movie right now. Mystic River can try, all thanks to Sean Penn's brilliance when it comes to all roles.

Starship Troopers was an excellent movie, and I wish they wouldve actually continued the story into the second movie. Oh well.

And since we have to touch on T.V. in every entertainment thread, South Park is genious to me. 24, except for this past season, is a brilliant show as well. I know many people will think im wierd, but Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of mt favorite shows of all time, and I actually stooped to watching Angel to find out what happens in the universe of Buffy. Boy was I dissapointed.

And no, I do not like Family Guy. I find it to be a far inferior show to Futurama, and a slightly more funny version of the Simpsons.
