Just thought I'd share this link regarding HeroEngine. I hope to see most if not all of these features, especially the Day-Night thing, in game.

I like how the engine allows for on the fly development within the world. Yeah I looked up the engine a long time ago because I started playing MMO like games with DragonRealms, one of Simultronics text based games, which was what the hero engine was built to create: a 3D version of the world it was set in.

I dont know much about developer tools to make any comparisons, but I do think its got some pretty revolutionary ideas compared to engines from the time.
