I didn't see any posts about this at quick glance, but every time I try to use Quick Reply to on a topic, I get a bad session error and have to use the normal reply screen. Is this an issue, or just something wrong on my end?
-
Working fine for me.
-
This is a test of the quick reply system.
EDIT: Worked. Hm, maybe it's when I open several tabs. By the time I get to the one I'm replying at, it times out.
-
I periodically get this.
-
I use tabs for everything, and a lot of them all at the same time. I have yet to get an error or anything of that sort when quick replying.
-
I always use the Quick Reply and I have yet to ever have a problem with it.
-
I get this quite a bit.
-
Weird, I never get it. What OS/browser are you guys using?
-
Windows 7 x64
Chrome 6.472.63
It's also happened on my work computer using Win XP and IE8
It doesn't always do it - in fact it's been less over the last few weeks, but has still happened a couple times a week.
-
I use Chrome on Windows Vista 64bit and my iPhone. I think I've only ever gotten that error once, and it was so long ago that I don't remember it. Does anyone else get this issue occasionally?
-
Mac OSX 10.6.x
Firefox 3.6.10
-
I always use quick reply and never had a problem. :\
-
Well that rules out OS and browser. Perhaps it has something to do with permissions? Or cache? Or database? Lithium would probably know more.
-
It seemed to happen more when making longer posts, making me think it was a session issue - but it has also happened with shorter replies as well.
-
I get this a lot with my iphone; many a time has the community missed out on my gems of insight.
-
I always use quick reply and never have issues. In fact I haven't logged into the site in months. Meaning my session has persisted. When you get the session error do you need to log back in? Do you use the 'Remember Me' feature when logging in?
-
Never had to relog in for these instances, just refresh the page. Login details are stored in cookies, not a session.
-
Yes that's true, but a session is also a cookie... when it's not appended to the url... or if it's in a ViewState, but this isn't .NET.
There can also be issues with cookies between www.followtheangel.org and followtheangel.org. This is a common problem in php because each is treated as an individual site and will get it's own cookies. I personally, only use followtheangel.org and not the www flavor. If you go from www. to non-www. you might get an error like that. But I don't think this is the problem.
-
I do check the Remember Me box when logging in. It doesn't log me out or anything. It just redirects me to the full reply screen and says "Invalid Session" I believe.
-
I definitely feel like I had this problem once and fixed it somehow, but I can't remember how.
-
I have noticed the www. thing before...why is @ not forwarded to www subdomain?
-
I've started getting this error now. I think our datacenter is just having issues at the moment. Bad timing...
I get "Your request timed out. Please retry your request."
