Off Topic / Boot Help! Daemon Tools Drivers

If at anytime during this topic, you want to call me stupid, go ahead

So I install a new motherboard (and lots more RAM!) last night. Everything running smooth and perfect. Nice prrrr to it. Until I load up windows (paid full legal version).

It's important to note that all I did was switch my motherboard and RAM. I left the hard drive in place with all the software that was previously in there. It told me new hardware was installed and that windows could not load, and it gave me the option for Normal Mode, Safe Mode, etc. I try loading up normal mode. The computer reboots. I then try loading up Safe Mode. I get the same error this guy got, but with different results.

â€œPress ESC to cancel loading d347bus.sys.â€

AHHHH When I click ESC, THE COMPUTER REBOOTS! So I load up the "repair windows" thing from the windows cd. I disable the driver. Instead of getting that error, the computer simply reboots.

What do I do? I can't get into safe mode. I'm trying to AVOID reinstalling windows. Aparently I need to somehow uninstall Daemon Tools Driver but without windows!

HELP!

EDIT:

Okay, I went into the repair thing on the Windows CD by pressing R after booting from the cd. I disabled the 2 drivers by using the DISABLE command and I renamed the .sys files (read link above). So now I have to get rid of the registry.

How do I access the registry from where I am?

Anyway, I've been working on this thing. The HTML in the webpage below would have to completely replace the homepage of www.FollowTheAngel.org (when youâ€™re not logged in).

Basically it's a website for potentials to learn about our faction. The website will link to our upcoming movie, and our challenge.

Off Topic / Your TheFuriousAngels.com Email Address!

I registered the TheFuriousAngels.com domain. I was thinking of making it a secure email service for our members. So you would have your very own user@TheFuriousAngels.com email address.

It would have a private registration so only members can sign up. And if you are dismissed from the faction, we would freeze your account. It will be web accessible (so you can check your email using the website) and POP3 (so you can check your email using Outlook or any other email software). Also, there will be an option to forward emails to your current email address.

The idea arose when I was trying to send an email and I realized I did not have a Furious Angels email address. I'm sure, especially when the gaming community expands, there will be a need for our members to communicate with other players with a professional email address.

Let me know what you guys think about the whole idea. Suggestions? Comments? Didn't we use to have an @followtheangel.org email service?

General / Problem with Code Analyser's bits needed for frags

This might be a solutions to the lack of frags problem. (If you can't wait until they fix the problem. It's been a while already...)

In order to create frags, you require a combination of code bits and Code Analyser right? And everyone now noticed the bug where several frags require the same combination of bits. (ex. the combination bit1 and bit2 is responsible for over 5 diff frags but it creates only T01 or something). This makes it impossible to create some frags with Code Analyser.

So basically, the "suggested" combination of bits for a lot of the frags are wrong. However, when you click on a frag to create, it shows some bits, and you can remove those bits to create new combinations*. In other words, you can hit all the combination of bits.

I believe that you can still create those frags with the right combination of bits. The MXO database must have the correct combination in it somewhere. The suggested combinations are just wrong. I bet if someone tries all the combination of bits they can get all the frags.**

Here are a quick list of combinations that might work:
Bit1 Bit1
Bit2 Bit2
Bit2 Bit4
Bit2 Bit6

I don't have all the bits so i can't try these combinations. I don't know what they make. They are not "visibily" associated with any frags but might magically create the frags that people need.

If someone has the time, try it out and let me know.

*Note1: You cannot drag away bits that show up as red (if you don't have them in your inventory). So someone with all the bits should be trying this.

**Note2: The order of the bits doesn't matter. So the combination "bit1 bit2" is the same as "bit2 bit1". That decreases the number of combinations by a lot. Also, only try up to a combination of 3.

WARNING: Whenever you get a wrong combination, it gives you an error and the client crashes. (i.e. the cursor becomes the clock thingy and you have to alt+F4).
