Warhammer: Age of Reckoning
« on: August 21, 2008, 01:25:09 pm »
A couple of my co-workers have convinced me to try this game out when it launches, and they're talking about starting a guild consisting only of people we know.  In my case, you guys are the only people in my circle of friends that would be remotely interested in this.  I'm hesitant to ask, because I don't think it would be good for FA if some members were off playing other games with other guilds.  But at the same time I'm not even sure if this is currently going on.  I know some of you play WoW and AoC.

Are any of you going to be checking this out?

Uuuuh, personally - they should've done the Warhammer 40,000 universe not the fantasy. I used to play the table top game for many years (about 8 - 15) but it was so expensive. It has potential though - just it's not really been hyped up enough for moi.

The AoC guild I'm the recruitment Officer in is a "chapter" of a gaming community "Legend Gaming" One side -- the Hand of Set for AoC and Side two -- Legend for Warhammer.

Warhammer is the ONLY actuall table top game I played and I only did that because there was free alcohol and cheesecake. But it was fun, with the right people... the gameplay is basically the same as any other Tolkien-based bs...

The thing I loved about Warhammer 40,000 was the stories and the history. Good Lord it's grim and totally awesome - I recommend wikipedia-ing it. Tyranids are being introduced for the new Dawn of War II game.

From what I hear, there will be a Warhammer 40,000 MMO.
