With all of the focus on hunting and the politics and the Vindicator runs (and I hate to take away from that because it's so much more fun), I think we've slightly neglected our Vaults. More specifically, I, and I know that others are, in need of Gold, Leather, and Cloth.

I say we go and farm some good, old fashioned Beastmen or Raptors late this evening or sometime this week.

Anyone up for this?

I'm all about farming for some leather or gold, etc... I know that we did pretty good in a short amount of time when killing trolls with only three people. But really, it only requires two people to effectively farm trolls for gold. One on a mount, one looting and skinning.

A couple hits with a mount and trolls are down for the count. It may actually be more productive to break into multiple farming groups using this method at different spawns.

actually one mounted, two looting and skinning.  They come that fast.  Preferably one of the looters can heal mount.  That way when a mount gets low you can hop on a fresh one and repeat.

I like to have a set plan in order to maximize time spent in game (as we all know it's easy to waist hours in game and accomplish very little)

Safety First! Use the buddy system.
I'm wary of the troll spawns because of the high level of red activity that patrols them.

That said, I really like the cave bear spawns over by the wilderness bank east of Iriendir for leather. They do require 1-2 mounts though and preferably a third person looting/skinning and helping with heal mount.

A two person team should farm relatively safe spawns like the goblins between Mir Bellith and Charybdis (high traffic for gankers too, but close enough to make a good run for the towers)

Three person team minimum for each Troll spawn, not only because of the spawn rate but also because of the need for more eyes/ears. In the past three days they have been hit on average once every hour of the day, more often during peak times.

Four person team or more is a good standard for most spawns and good for specialty farming.

I prefer to plan my activities in two hour blocks. If you're going to be online and interested in farming for gold/leather/particular drop sign up here or send me a pm, otherwise I'm just going to be mining/logging. All times are FA Time
