I'm obviously not making pre-ordering mandatory, but it does get you early access, and the more people we have pre-ordering, the more we'll be able to hit the ground running. Since I don't know if it's going to be a tiered release or not, I'm dividing out the list! Post below when you pre-order (http://www.swtor.com/preorder)! Post by: Tbone on July 21, 2011, 02:58:59 pm: I think it's your best bet, as you can do free shipping. As someone mentioned, since there's early access, you should be able to download the game BEFORE they ship the box, so a few days wait for the box isn't a big deal.

Yeah it will probably be just like how WAR did their early release. You will download the game early and play it to release, then at release you will probably just have to enter the game key somewhere on your account.

For CE's, looks like you'll be waiting a while for your code.

Also, Origins is saying for the Digital Deluxe that it will be UNLIKELY that you will get your preorder.

"The guy in store told me that GAME are sending out the emails in weekly batches to keep a better track of who is getting what. However by the time it gets to the early access, All CE's will be sold out and all early access codes for those CE's will be in your hands so dont panic. Its only the standard edition buyers that will suffer but most ppl know about the game and will get thier codes way before early access. only the last few straglers who pre-order a couple of days before early will suffer but thats thier fault for taking weeks to buy the pre-order. Those straglers will be better off buying standard edition on Origin if they have any sence or buy a physical copy."

Those of you that preordered on Origin: did you use a debit card? Did it charge the full game amount? I thought it was only going to charge the $5, but it has a hold on the full amount. I'm sure it will release the amount minus the $5 for the preorder, but I wanted to make sure that would be the case. Anybody have an insight on this?

I wanted that training droid. :-/ But with my budget, I just couldn't justify an extra 20 bucks on completely digital CE. And there was NO WAY I was spending 150, heh.

Debit card used here.
Nothing showing on my accont as yet. I thought the full amount including the $5) would be taken when released, no $5 refund... but unsure really.

Working two jobs to build a machine that I can actually play this on... as well as repair the damage to multiple cars in an accident I caused. But by December I should be good to go. 0_o Got the standard edition on Amazon.
