It comes out November 17th.

MAKE SURE TO PRE-ORDER 2 or 3 OF THESE AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS.  YOU WILL MAKE INSANE PROFIT ON EBAY.  If not, you can return it, so you're not at a loss.  This is perfect for those fellow college students out there.  I did it with the 360 on release.

New Info the 499 version will NOT have MemoryStick, SD, CompactFlash or Wifi added to the system, while the 599 version will. The PS3 controller will NOT have rumble functions, but has motion controll. (Nintendo anyone?)

I heard that the $500 version won't include Blu-ray compatibility.  Can anyone confirm this?

Either way, no thank you.  $400 is maybe tolerable for a gaming system in this day and age, but 500 bucks for the base version of the system?  My rent wouldn't get paid for that month.  As much as it hurts, I think I'll have to wait.

I haven't heard any information on that. But I doubt it since I think the games are suppose to be in Blu-ray only, making it impossible for a system to play it own games. Nintendo press just started got to go.

Little to much for a console...I love FF as well, but I ca't see myself spending 500-600 just to play 1 game...looks like I'll have to wait until it drops a bit in price :p

my ps2 and pc will have to do for now :)
