The best system I've seen yet is......wait for it......Eve Online's. No grinding. At least not the same kind of grinding.  However unless the skilll system is deep and robust it won't work.  They have GOT to stop dumbing down and pre-fucking these new MMOs that come out. There's already too many easy, instant gratification games for dummies out there now.

Not having a Facebook account (or rather one I want to activate at present) I thought I couldn't sign up.

However, you can sign up without Facebook, but you will miss out on "The Experience" part.
