Retail Client Download

Check which applies to you!

If you played Beta up until before November 25th:

You have the old client and will need to uninstall it and download the retail client when it is made available. Uninstall instructions can be found here

If you played Beta after November 25th:

You're patched to the correct launcher and can leave the game on your system. Your game should be somewhere between 18.4 and 19.4 gigs and have the file "assets_swtor_main" in this folder:  \Program Files (x86)\EA\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic

If you played Beta before AND after November 25th:

You're patched up to the correct launcher, but chances are you have redundant files in your directory (probably close to 40 GB). To get rid of the excess files, you can delete anything in the assets folder that starts with "green" or "red". You can also delete anything that starts with "assets_green" or "assets_red". The result should be trimming your directory down to the appropriate 19.4 gigs!

Stay tuned for updates on where to download the correct build once Bioware makes it available!

If you saved the installer, I think you can re-install and start patching now.  At least that's what I was able to do last night.

If you didn't have to uninstall TOR from you pc make sure to login to the launcher and update.

Of course, they are trying to avoid a swamp of the servers by fucking with people so that the traffic will be less.

Don't believe everything you think.

So I deleted my whole folder and then relaunched the setup.exe that I had previously downloaded back in 11/9/11 and then used that to redo the whole game...

Like 18 gig folder now

SO...

am I good?

Go ahead, make my day.

Booted the client this afternoon and found a launcher update and small 10mb patch.  If you haven't opened it in the last day or so, I suggest you do it.

Download speeds will no doubt be affected come tomorrow.
