That's funny, I made a blue box and a red box when I was in high school, though I only carried them with me when some friends and I would go to 2600 meetings.  God that was sooo long ago.

I loved going to the local 2600 meetings every month. 

Did you ever go to DefCon?  We may have bumped into each other and never knew it.    I did some spring cleaning a while back and found all of my old badges and room keys:

Never been to a DefCon unfortunately, but I definitely remember those old meetings.  I wish I had my redbox, even though they're obsolete now, I had made mine inside of a plastic 35mm film canister.

After Ash's comment about Sunshine in the music thread, I decided to give it a look-see (don't worry no real spoilers here). It's worthy of a viewing, but it aggravates me to no end that movie makers take maneuvers in space for granted. At least they got the 16 month mission time correct. Also the physics is wrong, even IF you could shield yourself from the sun at those distances, gravity is a field effect and humans would literally be crushed by the weight of their own hair at 1 solar radii).

My Sony MDR-V700's finally died a couple weeks ago and as an early birthday present to myself I replaced them with set of V-MODA LP^2's and OH MY GOD MY these things loosen ear wax and make it ooze out of my ears (eargasm?) :-P

I don't...I can't even...there are so many complex thoughts. First things first, if you're worried about it being weird, you can still fap to this no problem. So rest easy. The girls all seem like they could be 18, but everyone in the circle cheering them on are like 12. It looks like some youth outreach program for a strip club. But it's not even just girls - there's 12 year old boys hanging out there like they all go to the Y together.

Perhaps this is the moment that I realize I'm now "old". Is this perfectly acceptable dancing now? I see those moves at a strip club, but that's it. This looks like White Suburbs, USA though.

Am I supposed to be turned on? Am I supposed to be appalled? Is this a new Olympic sport? Are there classes for this? Is this like the pole dancing fitness? Am I creepy if I show up as a spectator to this? Is there a cover? A minimum beer order? Lap dances? Or do they hand out medals for most improved?

All I know is I wish I was that one kid that was front and center during that whole thing when I was his age!

Had dinner with Likwistek and Jessercas on Sunday. It was fun. They were nice enough to meet me downtown while I'm here for work. And then Mharz lives in the Phoenix area now, as well, and I had dinner and drinks with him last night at the Hard Rock. I had honest to god the best drink I've ever had there. It was a Fireball Whiskey with pineapple, a bit of orange juice, and some other fruity liqueur. Oh. My. God. I had 4 of those. 💖
