I used this program back when I was playing Call of Duty. It's basically an instant messenger for gamers. Primarily used fo FPS's, you can click on a players name thats logged into Xfire and press "Join Game" to instantly open the game they're playing and connect to their server. In the case of MMO's, you can't "Join Game" but you can send text messages through Xfire and see who's playing what. It supports about every game out there, and supported Lin2 in it's beta stage, so it will prolly support MxO too. You can download it for free here:

I've used it too, its a good program, its true, it can't support intant joining MMOs but thats no biggie. BTW insomnicac, have you ever played CoD on the Clan SM server, remember your name from some where?

I used it back when i still played americas army, and its a cool little thingy..
I guess it could start MxO itself just by activating the exe, but not log in..
But i think Ventrilo will do, as we can see who is playing and who isnt.

Heh, i usually played in |fn|'s server, but I never really used the name "Insomniac", I just made up goofy sounding names hehe

Good program that Xfire is. Call of Duty kicks ass. It's what im playing till MxO.

I'm more of a UT 2004 kinda guy but thats just me.

I play UT alot too, but sometimes it's way too fast for me, CoD is in between the gameplay of BF1942 and the Unreal speed
