I got to brown belt in Kung-fu but I broke the main rule in class. Rule no. 1 = Stay calm. The teacher was a wanker (t'was a she and usually they are worse 'cause they bitch etc. etc. men just punch.) She started to insult people so most of us walked out because we lost our cool. NoCry is right it's scarily efficient, but Tae Kwon Do is even better (my friend taught me how to break someones arm with two fingers =X). A move called "Swan neck" or was it "Goose neck" i'm not sure, but it was very nasty.

Well, realize of course, that the whole thing about a vampire is that they are dead. So the pale skin is a symptom of lack of blood moving through blood vessels (Which gives skin it's color, for the most part). The slight hue of red around the eyes is because if there were a concentration of blood, the eyes is where it would be since there are A LOT of blood vessels in that region. It would also have the secondary goal of drawing one's gaze to them (contrasting colors).
While, yes, the Catholic-School-Girl-Got-Bit thing would be a nice touch, it would seem unrealistic. I choose the soft green-colored contacts because of her hair color; I think her hair color would cause the soft green of the contacts to stand out more, giving her that oddly alluring and mysteriously dangerous attraction that vampires are said to have. It's not so much a matter of lore in that department, but more of a theatrical thing (Since she has a background in that sort of thing). I also imagine the necessary stage makeup (That's the good stuff, not things you buy from a cosmetic store), might be easier for her to get. So, I say if you're going to be a vampire, be one that makes guys stop and stare at you, maybe even make them bump into things or forget what they were talking about.
A good pair of fake fangs are also usually hard to come by, but again because of her theatrical background she might have easier access to that sort of thing.
As I said, I was more or less looking at it from a makeup artist/costume designer sort of approach. The only reason I bring all this up, is because I used to help a friend with her makeup work for theatrical performances and schooling (As she was studying to become a makeup artist for movies and the like). But, I digress, do whatever makes you happy, Lits. Just trying to lend a hand :)

I disagree. Vampire tales vary depending on which author you're reading and you can just as easily assume a vampire should look alive as they should look dead. She's going to a party, so she needs something that will either entice and allure or shock. Either the standard tragic-schoolgirl-got-bit (bit hit with the boys), or the seductive-doesn't-seem-to-be-anything-wrong-but-she's-wearing-fangs. If I wanted to look good I'd do the first, if I wanted to win a prize I'd wear the second.
As for the eyes, her skin isn't pale enough (even with stage makeup) to pull off green eyes. What she needs is more brightness, so I would suggest a high quality pair of color enhancing lenses, in brown. I'd lay off the eye makeup because it looks OTT. She has very good skin tone and lovely cheekbones so properly applied professional makeup would look better than stage gear, but again it depends on the target audience. A lot of people will be seeing her up close not from afar. As for clothing, accentuating the upper chest and lower leg is a good idea, I think she could easily get away with a nice kitten heel and a pencil skirt, matched with a dark midriff blouse. It should all be kept very simple though, no frills and minimal lace.
Should you ever hit the big time Lits and need a stylist, I'd be happy to quit my day job :p

If you have a spencers near you check them out.. they have a pair of "fangs" that are like 20 bucks. They don't fit over your teeth but they go on the outside of your incisors. They come with a temp glue so it will hold them there for a while.. They are pretty awesome and look pretty realistic...

Lol, it's funny how you're talking about color contacts, because although you can't see it in either of those pictures I do have very light green eyes. In the sun they are about the color of the falling code in Kayda's sig. Okay, sublte schoolgirl/vampire cross it is! And I'm Ricean in vampire beliefs (I'm totally obsessed with Anne Rice's vampires). According to her, how often and recently you've hunted determine's skin color. So a fully gorged vampire straight from the kill would have just a slight unearthly sheen to their skin. So as long as I'm sucking on necks all night long I won't have to go full out on pale makedup (did I just say that outloud?). Lol, just kidding. Thanks everyone for your suggestions! haha i hearttttt jooooooooooooooooooooooooooos all. so i had the shots done last sat by a local amateur photographer. his stuff is really good and he's just a high school senior. i had them done because, well, i always wanted to see if i'd be any good at it. no one in my family has really supported me on it, and since i'm all about doing everything i feel like now, i thought it was time. so we'll see how it turns out :)

The black 1992 Talon TSi AWD behind me belongs to my friend Erik. Him and a few other friends of mine were competing to be one of top 16 to race for a $10,000 cash prize, and a $7,000 tool set. The gates opened at 9:00 AM Sunday, and they started the races around 11:00 AM. 300 cars, making two passes each. The final 16 cars were picked from cars that ran ~10.90-11.01-seconds in the quarter mile. There were a lot of cars running 9-, and 10-second passes, but the Pinks officials found out that a lot of them were "sandbagging" (Detuning their cars to run slower in chances of getting picked), so they decided to pick 11-second cars. The day was filled with a lot of domestic muscle, with a few very quick imports. The top 16 ended up being all domestics, including a '57 Chevy Nomad, '69 Chevy Camaro, '71 Chevy Camaro, a mid-'80s El Camino, and a mid-'90s Mustang. I won't spoil anymore. :) I was told the episode should air during the first week of April. The show airs on the Speed Channel. Look for me on TV. :D

Actually, no, it's not from MySpace. I asked a friend of mine to take a photo of herself 'looking mysterious'. Then I took it into Photoshop put a green overlay, and color adjusted the eyes to look creepy. But, yeah, not me in the pic.
Oh, and I discovered today that they must have done a database repair or something, because I can now claim the name of 'Kayda' again. If you recall, something freaked out on their end and my character got corrupted. However, now, I am a level 3 Kayda! w00t! XD

Nope, no one loses their vehicle in the All Out series. Just "all out" racing for a $10,000 prize. If my car was in the condition it should have been, I would have been out there racing too.

That would make for a great recruitment process. I would be willing to head it. Get the addresses of potentials, then setup a definite time to be in game when tagging them a few weeks out. Send them a small slip of paper in the mail with "You've been knocked down by the machines...Now it's time to fly. If you wish to begin your journey get to the <floor> floor of the building at loc: xxx, xxx at midnight CST on <date>. If there is an issue with this time, contact Fuse. Follow the Angel." Basicly I'd get the "when are you available to be on in the next week and a half" question taken care of in the interview. We usually know right away if they're in or not anyways.
It could get some attention of game media outlets as well seeing as we'd be the first to do something like that. We gotta continue the tradition, ya know? BTW, I plan on comming back soon.
As far as sending notes to them in bars...well that would require more knowledge about them than we would have on a recruit I imagine. I don't want to stalk anyone (well, maybe one or two people)

rather good thanks pirus; it was lucky we made no plans as i got to hotel at 1800hrs, meal from 1815 till 2300hrs, speech from 0700hrs and then meetings and speaches till 1600hrs to get on the flight at 1820hrs. ran to lennox mall and a compusa? store to look for another graphics card to get sli running. all in all i think those from southern america are charming and i will be back to atlanta as i think we won a deal....

People who pay $300+ for a motherboard instead of a nice coat clearly have their priorities out of order. :)
AbbyShot's stuff is expensive, but they do amazing work. These aren't Halloween costumes. You're paying for strong high quality materials, quick delivery, and incredible customer service. I was in constant contact with them the whole time they were making my coat. They wanted to make sure they got it absolutely perfect, which they did. And even if they did screw up they guaranteed me a free alteration.
I think I might throw down for a regular Lobby Trench for a more casual look in the autumn months. :)

That's me, my friend John in the middle, and my friend Amanda on the side. We were at this restaurant called East. We were supposed to go to Korean BBQ, but the line was too long, so we went to East. It took us 45 minutes to get to the restaurant and it took me three hours to get home. It sucked.
In any case, Amanda was like, "Omg, we came all the way here for asian food." I was like..."You were gonna come all the way down here for Korean BBQ. What's the difference?" lol, and then this hot guy walked past and the conversation was lost, but it's safe to say she was PWNED! :D
All in all, a very fun night.

Hmm. I think I'm going to get to fly in a P-51 Mustang this summer up north. A friend of ours owns one, and he takes people for rides in it. My dad even got to fly it, do loops, barrel rolls, etc. It only cost him 600 dollars, too, for an hour ride!. It was pretty sweet and the smell from the engine is just amazing. I absolutely love the smell and that plane.
I really want to fly in it this summer, just to say I've been in the Cadillac of the WW2 fighters.

I would go much further into debt to fly a 51, and perhaps even my house to have a good long flight in an F-86. The mustang may be the Cadillac of the WWII days, but the F-86 is where american jet fighters started.
Where is your friend who owns this 51? By the way, I'm betting ALL of that $600 went straight to gas. That things has a 12cyl engine! The first ones started with a 1000HP engine, but now they pump out between 1700 and 2500HP depending on the engine... http://www.americanaeroservices.com/p51_engine_install.htm
I posted a bunch of pics on teh random thread, 2 including a heritage flight of the P-51, F-16, adn F-15. After the 15 and 16 landed the P-51 did a few mock strafing runs with pyro and everything, ir eally wish I had pics of it.

Oh, yeah, it all went to gas. My dad actually got a discount, too. It would have been about 750 dollars, but we had been towing his kid around the entire weekend in our Jet boat, and he felt bad that we had had to put up with him.
They currently live in the deep South, but I can't remember where exactly. It's either Mississippi or Louisiana. We get together every summer with them and about 6 other couples who love to fly planes and land Piper Cubs with floats on the water on a big lake. It is a ton of fun... they're a lot different to fly than a normal plane. I hate landing, too, because boats have the right away, and a majority of people are stupid.

VTOL has not practical purpose in ANY combat engagement except for carrier operation - same with the harrier. Oh yeah, and it has "cool factor" apparently to some people. There is no reason the VTOL cpabilities of the NAVY version (that's right, AF won't even be using the VTOL version) should make it > F22. The F35 isnt into production phase yet and the only amazing thing about it is the cockpit advancements which it took mostly from the F22 with some tweaks that can be fit onto any modern fighter.

Marines are the ones who will mostly be using the F-35B (STOVL model). Navy will be using a few, but will mostly use the F-35C (reinforced for carrier takeoff). The Marines claim the F-35B outperforms the F-35C in all missions except carrier-based missions, and that it better fits their needs.
If STOVL was not practical, they would have phased out the Harrier long ago and not bothered with a replacement.
The British want nothing but the F-35B aircrafts. :shrug: They've even gone as far as to build their carriers without catapults.

Well one of her favorite bands was actually doing a concert here in Louisville and I bought us tickets. When we got there I saw "event coordinator" and ran over to her and of course almost got pummeled by guards, they eventually let me through because I said I had something really important to ask her and it involved me getting married. So I walked up to her while my fiance was in the bathroom and asked her was would my chances be to propose to my girlfriend on stage? She laughed and said about 1 in a million. So I was like damn this sucks. Later on as we were going to our seats the lady coincidently found us and pulled me to the side and said when would I want to do it so I gave her the rundown on when I wanted to. To make a long story short, the band played her favorite song and in the middle of the chorus part of it they stopped singing while the music kept playing and called me up on stage in front of about 2,000 people and I about shit myself. So I run my nervous ass up there and knew what I had to do. I grabbed the mic and called my girlfriend up there as well and she about crapped herself. Once she got up there I said "You nervous?" and she nodded like she was losing her mind. Then I said, "You know honey, I look around and see all of these great couples holding hands and smiling just like us. But there's one thing they have that we don't." That's when looked at her and grinned, got down one knee and asked her to marry me. She started crying and said she almost puked from being so nervous and then said yes. Everyone "whoohooed" and clapped and cheered.
That's how and when I became engaged. :D

Lol, you can't see it here, but I had sharpie tatoos all over me. There's a snake crawling up my arm, a St. Peter cross on the back of my neck, some lyrics in IPA going down my face, and a pentagram on the inside of my upper thight. I'm quite proud of this costume, really. More than a few people stopped us on the street to take pictures.

I went as my hero Broin.. No one knew who the hell I was and thats the way I liked it. When confronted about what I was and what I did I just brushed it off and pretened not to hear or understand the question. I would tell them I was a LEET hacker and left it at that. Today I was able to shoot the first gun I ever owned. My grandfather bought me this little Daisy .22 rifle right before he passed when I was about 12 years old... It's been in storage for over fifteen years. Over the weekend I had my father pull it out and this is the first time it's ever been shot. My buddy called it a kiddy sniper rifle because it's so damn accurate.

NECRO/BUMP. I was originally going to post in the RANDOM PICTURES thread, but decided against it, because that's for professional photographers, and I'm obviously not one of those.
I felt like sharing profile pictures from Facebook. First picture is my current profile picture from a bar crawl a while back for the Ski Team. Everyone had to paint their face for it, and I'm pictured with two of my best friends. Second picture was taken while studying abroad on the French Riviera in Eze, part of the Cote D'Azur (Blue Coast). There's a huge garden at the top of this cliff, and then it's a straight fall straight down into the Mediterranean. The next one was taken at Oktoberfest in Munich. The final one was taken in the Piazza del Michael Angelo in Florence. When I'm old and retired, I'm going to have a house in Florence because that is my favorite place on earth. It's too bad we couldn't get the lighting better on me, because it's a gorgeous shot and Florence is absolutely wonderful at sunset.
Me and my cousin, Rachael, at about 6pm the night of the Wisconsin game. I look surprisingly sober for drinking for four hours. If only I remembered more of that game...

Seriously - how could you go through life being depressed? That's so... depressing. I find that, if you put yourself in a good mood, it rubs off on other people and, before you know it, you've started a chain reaction of everyone else being in a better mood. Happiness is contagious!

A little clarification too:
The photographer that did our engagement photos and who will also be doing our wedding took the 20 couples that they shot in 2012 and made this contest for them. They're obviously trying to gain a little exposure and get their name out there but it's nice if we could win a 20x30 canvas print for our wedding. That's all.
They're just a local photo biz here in Arizona. Super nice people too.

Yeah, I've had it a bit shorter for a few months now. I also just got it cut and highlighted a week ago, so it's pretty short.
