I think it's the fact that even if I spend the money on 180 days unlimited, I still get no RTW points and will continue to have to purchase RTW to trade/sell/breathe, most likely.
So for 3 months of playing the game, I'll have to pay $50 for the game, $30 for game time, and $20 for enough RTW to buy things off the marketplace, probably more if I'm trading around clan items. I'm not saying I can't be persuaded to do it if everyone is onboard, but I just really really hate trying to manage RL money in a fucking game. In-game currency should be used on the marketplace and for manufacturing. I figure things are going to be tweaked, i hope that if not right away, at some point they give you a RTW point dole along with the monthly plan after people get pissy enough.

I use a Nvidia 260 GTX in my home rig after my 8800 GTX burned out and i have seen no noticeable difference performance good or bad. Which speaks to its quality since that was top of the line a while back.

This is an example of a display in the social district. To the left is advertising space bought by a guild. To the right is a covered up car that will eventually display the car of the week or something like that. Yea i think they even have billboards in the crime districts you can buy too and some of the statues in the social district you can also buy. They are put on the open market sometimes in the auction house.

Games radar article with a hands on of the writer with The Old Republic, its incredibly promising. http://www.gamesradar.com/pc/star-wars-the-old-republic/preview/hands-on-with-the-old-republic/a-20100413111258258050/g-20081021163120143024His analysis seemed to be despite the narrative elements (voice actors ect.) it is, boiled down, an MMO in the most traditional sense, when it comes to some of the missions he played. The combat seems to get the flow down nicely (something that playing a Mage in WOW always stunk to high heaven, kill a monster, sit, eat, drink, rinse and repeat). In its current state it doesn't seem to really shatter the MMO mold but at the same time this is a early very limited view of the game. To be honest in my personal opinion with the fundamentals down pat, the game has alot of time to experiment with by adding new elements to the combat and structuring the missions so that they don't feel as MMOish. The goal to make an MMO that doesn't feel like the MMOs of the past is great in itself though at least with the hardcore players their is a potential for a bit of a whip-lash that this may not be the second coming of Jesus. Jesus might just be too busy when super street fighter 4 comes out.

I’ve played Ragnar Tørnquist's previous games (the Longest Jouny, and Dreamfall). Every game he has worked on always carried a lot of emotional weight and small touches of humor. He is great at creating a functioning world from scratch (or in the case of his previous games two parallel worlds). I don’t know how well he would translate from single player to an MMO. Regarding the stylized look for the characters I recommend playing Dreamfall, it shows that the look actually pushes the emotional aspects better than a photorealistic look. You can see his fingerprints all over at least the latest trailer; prophesy fate and the nature of the competition between good and evil including its balance are all themes that he has explored in his previous games. I just hope that after this game he makes another Dreamfall.
