Comp problem
« on: June 17, 2008, 10:00:40 am »
I was playing AoC the other day and my game crashed. When it minimized I had an infinite soundloop and it never went away, along with my comp be froze. So, I had no choice but to manually restart my comp. When my comp went to restart/boot it wouldn't and went to the black screen where you have the option to start up in safe, normal or another mode. I tried all of them and none of them worked so I had no choice but to do a system restore. Upon doing that my comp will restart and when it get to the desktop with now nothin on it, my start button and icon at the bottom right of the screen don't show along with if I click on anything, by comp locks up and frezzes, thus having to manually restart.

My question is, is my windows xp corrupted, my cpu dead or is my harddrive dead.

The reason I ask is because I'm building a new comp and I'm ordering everything but windows xp (have a disc here) and a harddrive. I just need to know if I need to order a new harddrive or not because I have a new CPU. Hope this helps with a conclusion.

p.s. Also, I wont be on TS or in game due to having to use my fiances dads comp.

Thanks guys.
