Title: A question about Access Nodes
Post by: Anonymous on December 06, 2004, 12:54:23 pm
Since the advent of pre-order beta testers, I have hardly ever seen an active access node. Has anyone seen them active lately? Is it just too many people running around tagging nodes to find them working? Or something else? I thought I saw something about them being disbled by the Devs, I'm not sure.

Thanks

You mean like an Agent coming to get a noob?  Yeah, I just saw one yesterday. Then the agent did a really cool disappearing trick. No foolin'!

access nodes are stationary, so all you need are the coordinates. That's where the CLS comes in. try it out.

I guess I wasn't clear. Every Access node had been tapped, or wasn't working. I know where they are. Tanks a million!

You can only see access nodes buzzing that YOU have not tapped. IF you have tapped it, then others still see it buzzing away with that lightning strike if THEY haven't tapped it.

I've led other to data nodes that I have grabbed.

Ket, you mean that you only get to tap an Access Node ONCE?

Well yeah man.

Once you tapped an access node, the agents in that area will stop bothering you.  I don't see why you would want to tap it again.

Maybe you're confusing access nodes and data nodes.  They are two completely different things.  You can tap data nodes multiple times but they only give you info.

lol

Its worth noting that the agents don't stop bothering you altogether, it just means that they are less likely to... you may still see them coming after you tho, techinically you are still not allowed in zones that you have found the access node for (I believe).

I became staff not all that long ago... I think it was because of all the website slve work I was doing  :|>
