Ok, I was able to scan my system. How do I know if it went through. Once it scans, it just sits there showing me my computer information and won't let me go anywhere else. When I refresh, it takes me back to agree to the terms.

Go to your account and at the bottom of the screen there should be a small checklist underneath the part where you said 'yes' to being a tester.

It had "no" checked and when I clicked "yes", it took me back to the Terms.

Ok, now it says "yes" but it says System Scan is incomplete and I can't find a way to complete it. I even updated Java...

Woo! Managed to get through it. Persistence. Once the Scan is over with, in the bottom corner of the pop-up window should be a "Submit and Complete". Click that and everything will be squared away.

Be sure to be using Mozilla or Internet Explorer. It doesn't like Chrome.

Hmm, now that I go to see my account details it takes me to the 'create an account' page when I'm already logged in... :Z

I didn't have a submit and complete button. I'll try again when I get back home.

If you hit submit and complete, you're not good until it says you are now signed up.  I hit that several times and it would repeat steps again.  Wait til you get the confirmation page.  Did anyone get an email or anything upon completion?  I had no indication other than the page that said I am now signed up to be a tester.

Keeps kicking me back to the ToS.  I'll keep trying when I get home.  I'm wearing down my iPhone's battery.  :P

Be sure to be using Mozilla or Firefox. (no Chrome/Safari)

Be sure to have the latest Java Update (www.java.com)

Be sure that the page is completely done loading. If you're choosing your account name, make sure it has a Checkmark next to it (and not a spinning whatever).

Even after doing all of those things it took me a while. I think what did it for me was going to the www.swtor.com/user/account and creating the Account. Once my account was created, I then went to www.swtor.com/tester and signed in AFTER I CLICKED THE CONFIRMATION LINK IN MY E-MAIL. I then went through the three steps and it brought me through right away.

All signed up and ready to go!

Another thing, don't spam the submit button, even though it takes a while, it has a better chance of going on the next step then by spamming.

Also the time frame in which you take between pages also has an effect cause i would go back to the account creation page where all my info was saved from the last few times i had gone through redoing steps and clicked submit and quickly used the cache'd info for the next pages to quickly go on with the steps, finally getting my account created.

Also, worry about signing up for the beta and scanning  till after the account is officially created.

As Ana said, It's easier since after wards all you have to do is sign in and put in the info for beta instead of all the Account creation info all over again.
