Surgery tomorrow
« on: November 08, 2012, 01:09:06 pm »
It seems I have developed six gallstones as a result of not having enough fat in my diet.  Which is really weird, because I spent a large portion of my life surviving solely on fast food.  The guy doing my ultrasound asked if I was vegan.  Apparently they see gall stones a lot in people with low or no-fat diets.

Eat your fat, kids!  Gall stones are agonizing!

So to save myself the risk of more stones, and any infection spreading to my pancreas, I'm going in for surgery on Friday to have my gallbladder removed.  Barring any complications, I should be home the same day and I should be back to 100% by Thursday.

Gall stones are a bitch. Grandmother had open heart surgery about a year ago and there were complications. Checked her gallbladder and it was basically full of the things, had to get it removed.

Be sure to get on TS if they give you any good drugs, it will be good times!

Can you do another video? I remember snorting over my breakfast watching the last one, many moons ago.

I'm hesitant to put up the video of me taking the sleeping pill.  But I'll see if I can find the vid from my kidney surgery.

Yikes, good luck on the surgery! If you need any extra fat, I've got some I've been trying to get rid of!

Stay tuned for the gallbladder video!

EDIT: Near the end of the video you'll see me wearing a white cap.  It's one of the old FA hats!

I had been suffering for 10 years with gallstones before I finally had my gallbladder removed two summers ago.  Best decision I ever made.  Enjoy those meds!
