The best way to play on PC is with a pirated copy. It's pretty sad, but what's even worse is that it's par for the course for Ubisoft...

Apparently the retail PC game requires you to connect to Ubisoft's servers. The servers got hit hard, so no one was able to actually log in and play the game for the first few days it was out. On top of this, there were performance issues with certain video cards and graphics settings.

With a pirated copy, you did not need to log into Ubisoft's server and people also posted workarounds for the performance bugs. So if you wanted to play on launch day, you needed an illegitimate copy.

I dislike having to use Uplay or Origin or anything similar like that. Very annoying and intrusive. Thanks for the info.

I played just fine on launch day. So I call bull on that as an absolute.

I can't really support pirated versions of anything it is a big slap to the developers. I don't think it's a big deal having a rocky start myself because you can not prepare for everything, that's just how it is. Not too big of a deal in the long run IMO.

I think it's a great game, but nothing is perfect. I wish the city was more alive like GTA but in the end it's fun and worth buying, again IMO.

I agree Uplay is awful. I strongly dislike it.

I had some connection issues day one with Uplay but I just played off line and synced later. I bought a copy on steam and the deluxe edition with the statue and other stuff so they got to copies from me. One negative take away is not being able to save multiple games or having multiple save points.

I always thought that was what Tbone really looked like. The picture on his Facebook must have been copied from a gay porn site.
