Title: Need: Matrix Bullet Time Sound File
Post by: Anamodiel on April 30, 2007, 09:14:49 am
Currently, I'm making a movie in my Media class with a few friends. We decided to to a Matrix Bullet Time scene, but it is not nearly as good with no sound.

I know that we have a few very good video people. Maybe one of you has a sound file with the bullet time music? Please?

If any of you do, please e-mail it to me at Talauntiar@yahoo.com

Or you can post it on this forum or whatever. I just need it by the end of the week.

hahahahah. If you really want to...

It's all stop-motion, though. The matrix scene didn't turn out as well as I had hoped when we shot it (if we could re-do it, I SO would... but we can't).

I had originally been following two guys (we are having a race through our school), and we're on the 5th floor of our school. I'm behind them, and then I start the Matrix bullet time 360 panorama. I got some OK angles as I move around then (varying heights and stuff like in the movies), but some angles didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. For example, as I get to the end of the sequence, my friends were getting impatient because I was taking so many pictures (we were also running low on memory), so I began to hurry it up. It got kind of jerky.

I had originally envisioned me following them from the rear, stopping them, and then panning around them. As I got to the end, I wanted to get into the original position that I had been, and then having them take off. But it didn't work out.

By the way.. I still need the middle sound of the bullet time sequence. I have the beginning and the exiting sounds... but the middle sound is still missing. Anyone have it?

(Oh bah. You had me hoping that there was the bullet time sound in there.)

Our media teacher showed those to us a few days ago. Weird, huh? :D

Update: I finally figured out that I could just record the sound from the movie itself (I did that using Audacity). Thanks for all those who helped. :)

Well, you asked for it...

Personally, I don't think it was that great. One of the three that I was working with really didn't care too much and that brought the quality down because he would move more than he should have just to get done faster. It was also edited in Windows Movie Maker because the Adobe Pro Premiere was unavailable today while we had time to edit, so the bullet time sequence is not exactly perfect, which I'm miffed about because I spent a good deal of time getting it to sound lovely. Oh well. We'll still get an A on it, and that's the bottom line.

Personally, had we spent more time on each scene and had more frames, it would have more fluid and more realistic. Oh well.

I'm the innocent bystander who gets run over. Luckily, you can't see my face. :D

Haha, that was awesome!

Props on the use of Flogging Molly.  They came out here for a show with Bouncing Souls a few years back on Halloween night.  Best damn mosh pit I've ever been in.
