So, it seems prophecies mean very little in the Star Wars universe, I guess. Either way, I'm sure it'd be a great read.

It's not that prophecies mean so little, it's that a continued revenue stream means much more.

I read an interesting fact that Lucas showed up drunk to direct some of the scenes in the prequels. I can't wait 'til they reveal the Jedi/Sith class. It's the first game that's made me contemplate join the 'evil' side.

Anakin did bring 'balance' to the force by nearly destroying all Jedi.  Thing about his prophecy is that's all there was to it.  Whenever someone 'brings balance to the force', all that means in the end is that there's going to be an equal number of Jedi and Sith.  So Luke going to the Dark Side isn't so far fetched once you know about what happens later (would give slight details but don't want to ruin it for anyone).

I'm a huge fan of Wedge Antilles and the starfighter dogfights in the movies so it's a great fit.

The actor who plays Wedge Antilles is actually Ewan McGregor's Uncle. << Fact of the day :D

Also, I'm going to take Likwid's advice and buy the Jedi Academy Trilogy (being an avid JA game fan - I completed it for the 4th time last night).

How many of you are actually seriously considering playing this game? I for one and going to pre-order the shit out of this game.

I'm playing it for sure.

I'm going Jedi all the way; I just CAN'T play as a bad guy in any MMO.  It's just not physically possible.  Besides, the hero always wins and gets the girl in the end.

Smuggler class has been revealed officially.

Apparently you cannot switch factions once you start playing. BUT you can be a dark sider on the Republics side and a light sider of the Sith Empire side... which'll be interesting.

I was reading PC Gamer yesterday and there was a 6 page preview of SWTOR. One sentence caught my attention during an interview with one of the Devs. It reads:

The game is playable. We have a server up and running, we can play the game at home."

Ooooo - don't be suprised if this baby comes out Q4 2009.
