Sared, you weren't there when I posted that video for Broin, telling him "hey look, even YOU'LL enjoy the Oculus Rift!"

This Thursday, 8 p.m., RIFT TIME! I'm still looking for a friend to go with me to take video/pics. Any volunteers?

The Oculus Rift was really cool! My favorite parts were probably doing the Tuscany demo that combines Razer Hydra support and a roller coaster ride that was built through the Epic Citadel. I spend two full hours trying different demos, which is a long time in VR! I'm tired now, but hopefully I can get to a full-fledged write up of my impressions later!

Found out today I may be getting the Developer SDK and one of these prototypes for a possible Unity project for NASA's travelling display. Nothing set in stone yet, but fingers crossed. :)

"A company called Virtuix is developing the Omni, which is essentially a multidirectional treadmill that its creators call "a natural motion interface for virtual reality applications". The company posted a video showing someone playing Team Fortress 2 and using the Omni along with the Oculus Rift."
