Title: Path of Exile
Post by: Tbone on November 11, 2013, 01:58:34 pm
My brother and I are checking this game out. It's free, and similar to Torchlight/Diablo. I haven't been a big dungeon crawler gamer in the past, but I was looking for some fun co-op games and came across it.

Has anyone played it before? Feel free to join in!

I've been playing it a bit, and I quite enjoy it.
The sphere-grid passive upgrade tree makes my eyes cross and gives me a bit of a headache, but that's WAY better than Diablo 3's minuscule customization.

What level are you? What's your char name? I'll add you! My brother and I lost track of time playing it tonight!

After a night of play time, I've got to say this game got me involved like Diablo 2 did; what D3 failed to do.

Looking forward to try some harder challenge though... grouping up does increase mobs difficulty right?

Yes. Most of the resistances and defenses really start coming into play during the Merciless difficulty. The first run through is pretty straight forward and then you'll start to die and have to figure out why you just died. The game does a good job of hooking you into the gear hunt...for better or worse, lol.

I've played this for such a long time, if I wasn't burnt out on it I'd jump in with my Templar. :/
