We were tracking these guys who were talking a big game the other night and ran across their little village. We weren't sure if it was the guys we were looking for or not. Luckily one of them decided to come sacrifice himself so we could get his name. There's a weird lag spike that makes this guy disappear as I'm shooting his leg with Broin appearing right where he was.

These guys were talking trash all week, so we started tracking them. After a shootout earlier in the day (in the above video), we got a name and were able to identify their four bases (three pyramid style and one metal). Broin and I came back late at night and set up a 1x1 full of boxes. We hit the small metal base first and looted a bunch of C4, explosives, gunpowder, and sulfur. After determining two of the three pyramid bases were still empty, we hit the remaining base. In the video, you can see the 2nd through 4th floors are empty. After that it was just a matter of finding the loot!

In the video you get a good idea of what we are looking for and how we look for it. Also things like taking out the sleeper first and getting the sleeping bags. Just little things. After we cleared the loot, I walled up entrances to all of their bases. This may seem cruel, but the reasoning is that if you missed a stash of C4, they may immediately try to hit you back (especially if they know it was you who hit them). Making them waste C4 on their own base ensures it will take them longer to recover and retaliate.

You gotta be careful how you sleep in Rust. Also, if you're a big trash talker, you will be shot in the head when found in the woods. Fair warning!

You guys wont believe this, I grabbed 4 C4 from the base and ran to this single story base that I had my eye on for the last two days.
I blew into the wall and started going through the loot. I noticed that the doors had small sacks in the doorway. Out of frustration I tried at guessing the door codes, I tried 4561, 4523 and then 4589 and got the message that I had access to the door, holy . . . .! I looted C4, 5 M4 and a bunch of other stuff.
I ended up using 4 C4 total from north base and we had 37 C4 to start with, I replaced what I used, plus added additional 5 C4.

So I went back to that base we were messing with last night and totally guessed the code to the door and they ended up using 1337 LMAO!.
I didn't totally raid them out, I felt like letting this build up more and see if I can get in later and clear them out.

A hacker or did I have a blind spot? Looking at it slowly, it looks like I was shot THROUGH the rock, though there is a possibility he was directly above me, though I would have heard footsteps if it were that close.

I'm calling hacker. I was moving fast left and right in a random movement and he got a head shot on me. Never heard or saw him. Then in less than a minute he head shots Tbone. Then in less than a minute later does the same thing to another player who calls him a hacker in area chat

I am starting to take offense to all these other people being called hacker, I thought I was the only hacker! :P

For context, I hit the first floor of a base in Hacker Valley earlier. Later Kdude was killed by a Bloodzero. I went to look for him and got killed by Epicfailer. Then Kdude got killed by Azelus. I went to avenge him, killed Azelus, and got killed by Timeslip. My two deaths were both headshots. The first time I was in Wasteland and never even saw the guy. The second time, both Azelus and Timeslip were waiting for me when I got there (knew exactly where I was coming from and one was crouched under a rock waiting for me to pass by (I was coming from the mountains). At this point, I thought we had several hackers running around.
Eventually we found Timeslip sniping from the top of the base I had raided (and replaced doors at). I couldn't figure out how he was getting in and out of the base. We kept respawning naked and coming out of small metal to keep bothering them and figure out how they were getting in and out (because I was pretty sure they were hacking). They eventually tracked us back to small metal (not hard with hacks), so while I was checking their base for any signs of a way back in, they went to small metal and blew in (it was still empty). Still, they knew where we were and one came back and picked us off in the dark. The video pretty much picks up right after that. Later it turns out that all the different hackers were actually two guys who kept changing their name.
If you're patient enough, hackers will usually reveal themselves. Also, some hackers aren't even good at hacking...

Pretty sure the kid was hacking in the first part of the video. I guess he and his buddy thought they'd turn off their hacks and use arrows since I was just naked with a bow. Their mistake. I didn't get the second part where another group showed up and we got an M4 out of them.

LacedUp talked so much crap while we were killing them, raiding them and ambushing them.
He was so pissed that he couldn't put a dent into anything we did. The group hasn't been back on the server yet. lol

We got into a firefight in the valley with these guys after one chased down Kdude. Three kevs. They ran into the rocks at night. We knew where they lived so we snuck to their base and replaced their only door. In the morning they went back to their base to discover they were locked out. We weren't done there, though...

This night really didn't go well for us, as over eight people were called over to trap us in a base we were raiding. Luckily we had nothing but our basic gear on us. For fun we decided to see how much C4 we could entice them into using to get to us. At the same time, I came back from the outside and had a little fun...
