This thing was a pain in the ass to get running right.  I still can only get it to work in extended mode on this computer, but this is still my old computer.

Seriously though, bad motion sickness walking around.  heh ugh.

Copy and paste from my reddit post:

"Stairs. Screw stairs. Motion sick as HELL.
This thing has been a total pain to get working and I still can only get it to work in extended desktop mode.
Either way, I can't tell you how much I squeeled and laughed when I finally got it working smoothly and fired up the demo scene and looked at the desk, lamp and plant. (force vsync on in your video card settings by the way, that took me 2 hours to finally figure out)
This thing is unreal.

Moving around takes getting used to. I never had a problem with stairs, though some people do. The good news is that I believe you can get your VR legs with the motion sickness. The simulator sickness was the real deal breaker, but now that's been solved!

I'm jealous that you got yours before me! I should get mine mid to late August, about the time they've worked out all the bugs and the thing becomes easier to use! A newer computer is definitely recommended to make sure you're hitting the 75 FPS threshold.

Other than trying to move around in first person mode, what are your impressions? Are you a believer or do you think it's over-hyped? ;)

I did other demos but that feeling when you sit down at that desk the first time..

It's pretty insane. That sense of presence and the weird feeling when you can't see your legs or arms. Leaning in to look at the plant, looking under the lamp shade...

BUT... I did this though and almost puked all over my desk

The really trippy stuff is once you start doing social experiences/games. I can't wait for Minecrift, VRChat, and JanusVR to be DK2 ready.

I'm most excited about minecrift, any idea when it'll be ready?
