Well as a consolation we have Celine Dion :-)

I don't really like her stuff much but we learned this week that she is the female artist that sold the most albums ever. More than Barbra Streisand or Whitney Houston. 140 millions worldwide I think. On the male side it Elvis Presley.

Damn it, we canadians only have only one thing to be proud of and I'm sticking to it ;-)

I think I speak for all canadians when I say that we canadians are really ashamed of having Oz as a fellow citizen ;-)

Orasu, why do you not want to say "roger" and "over".
It makes perfect sense to use terms that we all already know (hell, these terms must be embedded into anyone's brain from all the films that have used it).

I think if we try to use something else, it may not sound right, but whatever - as long as the message is clear "finished talking".

One thing it doesn't solve is two people trying to start talking at the same time.

One last thought - if we have teamspeak channels arranged by ship, the captains need to be in a convo with tbone as well as with their crew.

But... but... we don't wanna use Nextel walkie talkies!
I would suggest using TeamSpeak Overlay. Very useful tool. Basically it displays on the right or left side what room you're in and who's talking. It creates an overlay inside games (though not outside them).

I wish there was some kind of "collision control" in TeamSpeak. Basically some kind of mechanism where as soon as someone starts talking, it prevents everybody else from talking until that person stops talking. We would probably want superusers to be able to preempt that but it would be an improvement.

It all comes down to respect for who has the floor when talking and the importance of what he/she has to say, I myself wont be saying roger/over, sorry but i just wont hehe..

As for the 100's of members being on, I believe having the seperate ship channels should solve that.

also, I use a Playstation2 USB headset that I used to use for playing Socom2, $34.95 american.
If you could purchase a headset, it would really solve alot of background noise.
