My summer project.
« on: June 02, 2010, 06:11:27 pm »
Now that I have finished my course for the summer, other than another few weeks of work placement, I have set myself a target:

To finish a first draft of a novel by the end of the summer.

I've always wanted to do this and I already have 15,000 words. I have a good plot and once I'm happy, I'll PM anyone who's interested.

A little blurb about it:

"An Angel falls to Earth with no memory. Taken in by a Reverend and his wife he sets off on his own crusade to bring peace. The task itself is the least of his troubles it seems as throughout his travels the Angel begins to feel emotions so alien to him - rebellion, love, rage - and all of it adds fuel to the one burning question:

Who am I?"

I took a quick skim over the new chapters last night.  I'll have more time to read them over the weekend.  Looking forward to it!

I've just hit the 30K marker. I keep on re-writing everything so anyone who's had drafts off me, ignore them please :) I will send those who asked for drafts my first draft of the entire story. Sorry folks, but it'll be much less hassle! :)

I'd love to read this. I've always wanted to write a novel myself, but never had sufficient inspiration.

Thanks for everyone's interested. I'll PM everyone a draft when I'm finished as long as y'all add constructive criticism. ;)

I've been updating this every now and then when I've been free from work and have had a good idea. Mainly I've been changing the feel of it. It's certainly much darker than originally intended, but I think it's much better that way. Those of you who have given me your email will be getting the first half in a day or so.

Remember; there's no hope. The Devil is closer than you think.

NoCry and Adad have the first half of my first draft. If anyone else wants a copy, send me your email via PM or post it here.
