Post by: Broin on February 08, 2007, 11:34:54 am
Looks like there is a new LESIG thing coming out... A bit reminiscent of Scanline but hopefully run better... Check it out on this thread

Any proof that this is a LESIG event and not another fan ARG?

Copy down the staff names...  We should probably add them to our buddy lists.

Curtis Daniels
Brent Jackson
Roger Porterman

The name "Thomas A." has popped up in the testimonials. ;)

RogerPorterman - Syntax
Escariott - Vector-Hostile
BrentJackson - Recursion
CurtisDaniels - ???

Those are the B166ER Communication employees. They're scattered around the 3 servers, so yeah, add them to your buddylist. ;)

Brent Jackson - (206) 267-3807 (Voicemail)

"Hi you've reached the voicemail of Brent Jackson, Security Director of B166ER (Bigger) Communications.  He's unable to take this call at the moment, but if you'll leave your name, your number, and a short message, he'll get back to you as soon as he can."

That's the gist of it.  I didn't have any "L33T bloo-pill AR-PEE" to spout out, so I just hung up.

I just called Roger Porterman and got his voicemail.  I told him that I recently purchased a PDA from B166ER and it eventually broke.  I asked if there was any kind of replacement plan.

I left a fake name and an anonymous number based in San Francisco.  If he calls back, the anonymous number will forward the call to my cell phone.

The last one (Slumbeiral) was done by the users, thats why I ask if there is any real connections that say this is put on by SOE.

SOE isn't going to allocate any more money to MxO than it feels is absolutely necessary.

B166ER Communications is player-run.  I think Yassamu is the puppet master.

Still no word back from Mr. Porterman.  But I realized he's in for an interesting voicemail message if I neglect to answer the phone.  I have a recording of Morpheus from Enter The Matrix as my voicemail.

I had to record it right off my television speakers.  It took a few tries to get a distance and angle that didn't result in garbled static.  But if you have a copy of the game, explore the "Hack the Matrix" feature.  There's a recording of Morpheus saying something along these lines:

*Click* This is Morpheus, Captain of the Nebuchadnezzar.  I have created this message as a precaution.  You have raised a red flag in the system.  Trinity can help you.  Expect to hear from her soon.

Be careful... and be ready. *Click*

Ahh, "Hack The Matrix" was awesome; I almost forgot it existed.  I think I might fire up ETM just to screw around with it again.

*out of context* how did you set that up?
