Looks like he is simply utilitizing the Rift as the VR HMD for part of his holodeck experience. At first I thought he was essentially adding a very sophisticated positional tracking to the DK1, but then he said that they are experimenting with manipulating the game world to trick you into remaining within the 10x10m holodeck area. Sounds really cool!

I think it's all the same but you may be able to specify North America. In the social menu though, you can select to go to a friend. So if you happen to be a different instance or server, you can still always join them.

As some of you know, I've been playing Dark Souls II for the past couple of months, and I finally beat it the other day. I figured I'd upload a video of one of the boss fights for anyone that may would be interested. I really loved this game. It was a great mixture of RPG and action with a heavy emphasis on skill. There's a lot of mystique to the world; It really creates a unique feeling that I've never experienced in another game. The word I think best describes it is forlorn. If anyone is thinking about checking it out, I highly recommend it!

Anyway, here's the video. I chose this boss fight because it was very intense for me. I was able to develop a strategy for most the others that just needed to be executed precisely, but this one had me on my feet the whole time!

Why'd we stop playing Firefall? Seems like I only got to play it for a few days before we were playing something different

I really liked the MMORPG skill shooter a la Tribes style jetpacking and gunning. Was it monotonous or just not have a lot of content? I did a google search and I guess I'm psychic or something, because an official release date was JUST announced today! July 29.

If Firefall is no good, I think it'd be interesting to check out PlanetSide 2 or Defiance.
